The Daemon Chronicles: Information
This story is set in the fantasy world of Eldereare. For those of you who've read Tamora Pierce's books, you may notice some likeness. But it truth I got the idea of my story from Philip Pullman's Dark Visions Trilogy. I've borrowed his daemon idea but that is all. The rest of the story I thought of myself. Anyway.
1) Daemon
For those of you who have no idea what on earth I am talking about I shall explain. A daemon in the world of Eldereare, is a person's soul. While in our world our souls are inside us, in this world they take the forms of animals and follow their human everywhere. If a daemon and its owner are seperated for life, the two will eventually just die, never regaining their spark of life, for if you lose your soul, life is meaningless for them. In time a daemon will decide on one animal guise for life, when their owner grows up and will never change from that guise again.
Note: Daemon is to pronounced as "demon". Also a daemon can talk normally to anyone.
