Reviews: Eden

Well, it's got to be about a year since the last time I read one of Shadow's stories, but I started reading Eden. I have to say I'm impressed!
The story sounds pretty clever so far. Right from the very start, there was a lot of tension! It was creepy, and even a little disturbing, but it kept me reading. Descriptions were good, so I could picture just about everything happening.
There was only one thing I had any real problem with. Occasionally there was dialogue, but no immediate description of who was saying it (and in one part, none at all). That made getting into some of the scenes a little difficult.
Otherwise, it's excellent! I'm looking forward to seeing more!

Review: Eden
by VanBrain
Communications are cut off and two teams of colonists mysteriously vanish on a planet called Eden. Though it's five years after the Lylat Wars, the Star Fox
team is called in to investigate.
The thing I liked best about Eden was the beginning. It was intense and gripping, and it kept me reading. Though that great atmosphere seemed to wear off part way through, the story still kept my interest. I also really liked the clear and detailed descriptions, and dialogue was solid. The Fox and Fara subplot was also a nice touch! It made me care more about what was happening.
It would've been nice, though, if the intensity had been sustained longer. It
seemed a little strange that the escape-at-any-cost colonists at the beginning
get submissive once Fox is on the planet.
My biggest gripe, though, is with the ending. Without spoiling it, I will say it
wasn't very satisfying. I was hoping the story would lead up to a climactic
ending, and instead it just ends with almost no resolution. It certainly is
meant to be part of a series. I don't have a problem with cliffhangers, but I
would have liked it to feel more complete.
Overall, I liked it and thought it was a good read!
