REF Rifts Earth Military Specialist

VR-141 Super Saber Cyclone, borrowed from the Third Inivd War Website
The REF Military Specialist is a jack-of-all-trades. They are trained in the use of Veritech Fighters and in the use of a VR-141 Super Saber Cyclone, but their main area of expertise is espionage. It is the military specialist who leads covert ops teams of Cyclone Riders, with his ability to gather intelligence and interpret reconaissance data.
One of the character’s skills is the ability to establish an information network composed of loyal associates, spies, stoolies, and sympathizers. This is an invaluable ability for the creation of underground networks of freedom fighters. There is a 25%+5% per level of experience chance that a military specialist can find a freedom fighter ally or organization at any town or village within 1000 miles of his/her usual operating territory. There is a 15%+5% per level of experience that freedom fighters will recognize the character’s reputation and accept them as a fellow freedom fighter and offer what aid they can. This is most likely to be protective housing, medical aid, food, an area map, information, rumors, and an occasional ammo clip or missile.
Reduce both percentages by half when the character operates out of his/her usual territory. The better the character’s reputation and level of experience, the better the people will respond to him and his allies.
