To Love An Angel
The Angel came to me one night,
when I was very sad...
She said she had come to thank me
for helping her when no one else had...
She saw a tear fall from my eye
and looked at me in dismay...
And just as soon as she had come
she quickly flew away...
I really didn't understand
I thought she didn't care...
But it wasn't long after she left
that I heard someone was there...
She understood the pain I felt
for she had felt it too...
And she did the only thing
that she could think to do...
I saw a figure there in the dark
and before he stepped into the light...
I knew that my Angel had sent him here
she was trying to set things right...
She had sent me an Angel to stop my tears
from the beautiful Heavens above...
She tried to help me the way she knew how
by replacing the sorrow with love...
And I truly did love him, that I knew
as I felt my heart drown in his eyes...
And he lifted me up into his arms
and we soared into the skies...
I finally knew for the first time in my life
that I would never again be alone...
And then I had a strange feeling, and I saw
that I had grown wings of my own...
We flew together on the current of love
and finally felt whole...
And then he surprised me, yet again
and kissed me, and touched my soul...
The moral of the story is the same as the first
And forevermore is this:
Nothing can heal a broken heart
like the power of an Angels' kiss...

Watching You

It feels like someone watching you
Everything you say and do,
I look around but cannot see
The someone watching over me.
A shadow made of light and love
Sent by Him from above.
To keep you snug and secure
To blanket you with love so puree
A companion you may have ignored
Should be cherished and adored
Give special thanks and abide
That Guardian Angel at your side.

My Angel

Looking deep into your beautiful eyes,
I see something, it takes me by surprise.
Sparkling like a glass of wine,
I find your eyes looking right at mine.
I'm shocked, but I don't look away,
And I'm hoping like crazy that you'll stay.
My prayer answered, you do not move,
there's nothing that I have to prove.
You reach across and take my hand,
my feet now firmly in the sand.
I no longer stumble and fall,
and at last I can stand proud and tall.
No more am I lost, I remember my place;
and once again my life is filled with grace.
Your arms are strong, they are my guide.
You hold my hand, you're by my side.
You come to me when danger is near,
and your smile takes away all my fears.
With your help, I can get through life,
by taking away my pain and strife.
I cannot do it on my own,
without you here, I'm all alone.
At any time you could fly away,
but you rest your wings, and here you stay.

Angel Light

Her wings spread wide and ready for flight
Is my guardian angel so full of light
So radiant her face is to me
Such pure beauty for me to see.
Her hair like strands of liquid light falls to her waist.
A wonderful glimpse of heaven for me to taste.
Under the shelter of her wings
All peace and beauty sings.
She is watching all the day and night
Always keeping me in her sight.
She communes with God above
Showing to me his wondrous love.
She is there to guard, tend and care
Always for me I know she will be there.
I know when I see her all things will be alright.
To safely guard me through the darkest night.
God has commissioned her work here on earth.
he gave her to me at the moment of my birth.
Its a wondrous thing she's stood at his throne
Now here with me I am never alone
Wings wide spread and ready for flight.
Bathe me now in Angel light.

The Rustle of Angel Wings

I looked for You in big things;
I couldn't find You there.
I cried; I sighed; for others
seemed to see You Everywhere.
I wanted just to know You
so much to hear You speak;
But alas, I found that others heard
Your voice; Not me.
A child smiled at me today
And suddenly I knew
Your smile!? In little things unnoticed!
Lord, It was You.
"Seek and you shall find Me
in every little thing."
Finally, I'm listening!

Someday I'll Know

They come and go, more quickly than
I'd really like, you know.
Sometimes I know their names,
But mostly, when I'd least expect, they go.
Sometimes they hug me tight, silent,
but so loving as I cry, and I go on again,
strengthened when I thought I'd only die.
Sometimes they rush into my life, bumping
me, pushing, and I see another way.
It's only when they're gone,
And the light from their fair lantern
lingers on, I wonder, where I would
have been this day?
Are these chance meetings - fate -
or can it be these are the angels
God has promised me?
Are these friends - or angels - is it so?
Maybe not today,
Someday I'll know!

Standing Watch...

We have one Angel standing watch
above us as we sleep...
Another gathers up the hopes
and dreams we wish to keep...
One Angel is the tiny voice
that whispers in our ears...
With words of love and comfort
to conquer grief and fears...
Of course we have one Guardian,
one friendship keeper too...
Another just to help us mend
the thoughtless things we do...
We have a Guardian of love
who protects our Destiny...
And helps us with our soulmate
who with we were meant to be...

that keep us company...
