Hello all, welcome to NamelessGamings Review of WWF™: No Mercy™! This game, is pretty much everything I hoped it would be, I reserved a copy off EBworld.com, Sometime in the middle of fall, and watched in horror as the release date went from 11/9, to 11/15. You'd think that would mean the game would be even better, right? Wrong. It even lacks some of the things the THQ team promised us from early on, and I read on IGN right from the get-go. Enjoy! :-)

Yes Thats Right, Thats Me Challenging Mankind To A Boiler Room Brawl For The WWF Intercontinental Championship! It sucked though, as he was very easy to beat. I'm not saying I would have like the difficulty cranked up to ultra-ass kicking skill, I'm just saying I expected more from a match with such a reputation as the Boiler Room. Among this game's good points, are the moves set up. I'm alot more used to the X-Factor when it had a kick, then the head slamming into the canvas. (I'm also alot more used to the X-Factor without Justin Credible and Albert, heh.) I also like the Royal Rumble in this game. The RR runs a little slow, but I suppose its a sacrifice you make to get out of dealing with the loading times of other games. The problem I have with the RR, is that when a new char comes out, they zoom in on them running down the ramp. Its basically giving any other player on the apron, or in a desperate situation a reprive. I was quite glad when they removed that feature from the game's interference. I mean, there is something to be said for interfering, and seeing the guy, but when they run in, their music doesnt play. Someone finally got that. And, (as pictured below) you will note that HHH looks like the troll from the Three Billy Goats Gruff. Is that fair to poor ol' Hunter? I mean, what did he do to piss the THQ guys off that much?

Dont get me wrong, this game really isn't bad. But its good points are very much overshadowed by its bad. Few people can really appreciate how real the feel in the ladder match is. Its often overshadowed by the slow run times. The ladder match, is a good match, and even though most of the people I know dislike the Cage match, it remains one of my favorites. I'm not saying all my matches are cage matches, I'm just saying they can be fun once in a while. I do, however, feel rather disapointed with the Belts. Yeah, the charectars look awsome with the belts, but they do not come out with two belts (one on shoulder, one on waist) as promised they would by the THQ team. Hell, they dont even come out with the ____in' belt unless its a title match. I know if I were HHH I wouldnt leave the WWF title out of my sites for more then five minutes, much less leave it in the locker room. Furthermore, the storylines are not as decided as I thought they would be. I mean, in my first season of trying to obtain the IC title, I:
b) Was forced into several matches by none other then Bob Holly!
c) Was forced to fight a Right To Censor composed of Mark Henry (A fat black man, who refers to himself as 'sexual choclate') and Rikishi, (a 400 lb samoan whos special move is one where he rubs his ass in someones face)
