From 1997-1999 I was heavily involved in programming the TI-83 graphing calculator. I bought the calculator to use in math classes in high school. Learning to program the 83 has proved to be an invaluable learning experience. Due to my study of assembly language for the 83, I gained a great understanding of the basic logic behind assembly in general. I am studying computer engineering at Virginia Tech and am now able to apply this knowledge to programming PC's. I extremely recommend learning at least the basics of assembly language for the 83, or any other graphing calculator if you plan on entering a computer related field in the future. Any study you can do above and beyond what you learn in school will help you immeasurably later on.

I decided to re-design the look and feel of this page. I do not expect to be making any new programs for the TI-83. Life moves on as they say. This page will always remain up, though. If you have any comments/suggestions, send me an email.
