Level 16 Control
The secret agent Objectives for this level are:
- Protect Natalya
- Disable Goldeneye satellite
- Destroy armored mainframes
This level awards you with infinite ammo if completed in under 10:00, this is about 2.5 minutes too much.
You may need to practice this level a few times to attain the cheat. The first thing you should do is destroy the gun turret that fires at you when you open the elevator. You are only armed with the PP7; five shots will do. There are three gun turrets on this floor. Try standing behind walls and leaning to destroy them. There are also six guards to take out--shouldn't be a problem. Head back and get Natalya to open a door for you. There are more guards to take out. The only ones that will give you a problem are the guards with the grenades. Take your time with these. You are allotted 10:00 minutes to finish this level, which is more than enough. Ignore Boris when you meet him. Run up the stairs and take out the two guards. Plant your mines on the two mainframes on this floor and destroy them. Head upstairs to get your Body Armor. Run down to the lowest level and enter the room with the gun turrets and guards. There are 4 gun turrets here. Two will be in your view when you open the door. The other two are located on both sides of the entrance. You can hide behind the walls and lean to destroy them. And don't forget the guards. There is one mainframe at the farthest end of the room on the right. Destroy it and return to where you met Boris. Plant your mines on the two mainframes, but do NOT destroy them. Head back upstairs and get Natalya. She'll lead you to the Control Room. Destroy all computers and desks besides the one Natalya is using. These computers may block your view of guards that may sneak up. Place yourself near the stairs, so you'll be facing Natalya's back on her left. This should give you a good view of the guards that run down from both stairs. When the alarm goes off, be careful to hear glass breaking; it will signify that a guard behind the left or right wall has broken through, and has a good shot at Natalya. Take him out quickly and return to your post. If you're lucky, none of the guards will break any of the walls. Usually, one guard does try. Protect Natalya until you she disables the Satellite. Leave her when she heads back towards the elevator. Destroy the last mainframe in the room with the two guards. This will be the right door facing the two mainframes you haven't destroyed yet. Kill the guards and plant the mine. From there use the Watch Detonator. Then run back out and enter the left door facing the now destroyed mainframes. There will be many guards inside. Ignore them and run into the locker room on your right, and get the Body Armor. Take the door on your right, and head for the elevator to complete the level.
