Chapter 2

"It is not polite to daydream!" said my sophisticated sister.

"Shut up!"

"You are lucky Mother didn't hear you or you would be punished severely!"

I stared at the ceiling. Boy, is my sister prim and proper! I lifted up my dress a little. I hate dresses. They are hot, useless and annoying. I mean, you can't run or climb trees or anything like that! Breeches are much more comfortable!

"We have come to a point. We thought that being a knight is not a girl's job so you are going to the Coventry in 1 week!" said my mother "What! A Coventry! that is the stupidest place in the world! You people are always for that pig"

I pointed at my sister and ran to my room. Safely in my room, I locked the door and lay on my bed. I thought. I wasn't the kind to cry. I had to find some sort of plan! I would not stay at that stupid Coventry with my stupid sister! I closed my eyes and slept. The next day I woke up feeling really hungry. I hadn't eaten at all last night! Oh no! last night. If I went downstairs for breakfast I would get a whipping and a boring 2-hour lecture. Actually, I didn't get a very hard whipping (since it was my dad who did it and he felt sorry for me) but I didn't want a lecture, let me correct myself, A boring 2-HOUR lecture.

I guess I'll go to Lyvanda's house. (I hope her parents aren't there) not that I don't like her parents but they are really good friends with MY parents and they are also against the idea of women bieng knights. I opened my window and climbed on the tree that connected to Lyvanda's room. I swung on the tree and climbed like a pro (since I always go to Lyvanda's house) with a bit difficulty because I still had that dress on.
