Chapter 1

I sat beside my father waiting for his answer. This all started out a few months ago. Since I was six, I dreamed of being a knight like my father. My father was really proud of me but my mother thought that a woman's place is at home and a girl knight is downright scandalous. She thought I was very useless unlike my twin sister, Tania. Tania and I are completely identical in the outside but (like all twins) completely different in the inside. I prefer going outside and playing sword fighting with my best friend Lyavana and she prefers staying inside doing housework. She is sophisticated and I'm wild. Even though we are both 14, everybody thinks she is older than me.

A few months ago, I asked my father if I could go to a knight training base but since I have an annoying twin sister WE have to do everything together!!! She refused to go to the training base saying it unsophisticated! She prefers to go to a Coventry!

Now since we have to do everything together our parents decide where we are going to go! I don't want to spend all my life being a housewife!

"Rilanda, Stop daydreaming!" said my mother.
