OK, I guess you're wondering how the Olympics are judged. Well, there are four judges, for now anyway because I might add more later. I think once all the stories are submitted there'll be a meeting in chat or something, the time depending on where all the judges live, and they'll decide which story wins for each category. There's also a second place and third place, like in the real Olympics. The medals will probably just be little symbols that I'll make to show which story was first, second, third. And for the winners, they also get... points! Of course. Here's how that works:
Gold Medal: 25 points (wow! That's a lot... which is why these are only every 6 months)
Silver Medal: 20 points
Bronze Medal: 15 points
That's really a lot... it's dfferent from the story contest in several ways: a) It's not as often, b) You get more points, and c) You can win in several different categories.
If you submit a story, you can only submit it in one category. You can submit stories for as many categories as you want, but they can't be the same story. Or else it's unfair, and too easy, of course.
So far there are only three judges, so we need just one more! Here are the judges for the Olympics which will be held in July 2001:
That's all there is for now, so e-mail me if you want to be a judge, or if you have any ideas for the Olympics (categories. etc.)
