Chapter Four

It was about a month before I got around to asking Jason why he was going to Qurin. I tried many times before, but something would come up, and I'd forget about it for a moment. I finally decided to ask him no matter what happened.

"Jason, why are you going to Qurin?"

"I'd rather not talk about that," he replied.

"To bad," I said stubbornly. "I told you everything about me and now its your turn. I want to know why you decided to go to Qurin."

"Because your going," he murmured.

"What!?" I screamed. "Whats that supposed to mean?"

"I was hired to make sure you got to Qurin safely."

"By who?" I asked.

"I don't know for sure, but from what you've told me, I'd say it was whoever left the notes at you parents house."

"They aren't my parents," I said angrily. They don't love me. If they did, they would have told me about this a long time ago."

"They will always be your parents," Jason stated wisely. "And they didn't tell you because they loved you so much they didn't want to lose you. And they proved again that they loved you by by telling you about your past when it was time." He stopped suddenly. "I just made a speech, didn't I?" He said, startled.

I laughed.
