She gestured at the swirling rainbow mist. [I have a portal which can transport us anywhere you wish to go. I will change to my alicorn form and we will travel there. I will disguise you so that they will not recognize you and we will go that place you speak of if you wish] She smiled, her silver eyes blinked.
[Of course you may.]
I smiled hard, forgetting that I have to be careful of what I say. [Then if I can stay I will stay here. I don't wanna go back to that place, I will always be different and they will always treat me like that. And also my parents are as bad as the others] Getting very angry I said. [They are not my parents anymore, this is where I belong]
Walking through my new home I thought of the shifting magic and that I could go every where I wanted with the portal to get a picture of every creature I desired.
[Oh I'm so happy here I don't have to hide myself from myself. I don't have to pretend I'm just a normal unicorn foul when I'm not. I'm definitely not, but how is it that I can do it, no one ever told stories of unicorns that could shift. Maybe now I'm here I can find out?]
After I had that thought, I thought [I can't handle it anymore, I have to tell someone of Emerald, someone I can trust.]
And if the gods had heard me, there came a little monkey (I always was very fond of monkeys, there were my best friend in Emerald) and he settled himself on my back in my mane. [Hey you're new here, I can tell. Where you're from?] He asked very fast and with a little high voice as monkeys do.
I thought; Him I can trust, The monkeys on Emerald were has cheerful as him, and they always kept there promises.
[hey who are you? Are you still here?] He said impatiently.
[I'm Isabelle of Emerald and what brought you here on my back?] I said.
[I really don't know] He told me. [I just felt something and wanted to see what it was and the next thing I saw a stranger and I wanted to know who she was. Hey aren't you not gonna ask my name, that's what everybody does in the beginning. If you don't wanna know it, it's fine by me, I'm used to it, often strangers don't go to me, because I'm just a monkey.] [Oh I'm sorry] I said. [I used to be not that rude. And what's your name, little one.]
[That's better] The monkey said. [I'm Neferthate and I'm not little, you know! ..... No of course you don't know or else you wouldn't have called me so.]
I went on [Okay Neferthate, I want to tell you something that's a very big secret. Can you keep a secret?]
[Yeah, Yeah! do tell, do tell. I looove secrets, and yes I keep it.] He said with great joy. Then he gets more serious. [I like you, you know, but I don't know why, I have the feeling I know you for my whole life instead of, say, five minutes.]
[The feeling is mutual, I don't know why too. I haven't felt so save with anybody my whole life, not even with my parents.] I returned to the secret. [what I'm about to tell you, mustn't leave your little head or else a friend of mine is going to be very dead.] [I'm not little, I said!] Screamed the monkey with a little anger and also a little joy, as if it was a game. But then said with fear in his voice.
[Dead?....... This big a secret are you gonna tell me, not someone of you're own kin']
I eased him not to get scared and told him not to have question before I finish.
The monkey curled once more around on my back until he lay very comfortable and told me to tell the story from the beginning and promised me not to ask any questions until the story was finished.
[Okay, my story begins at the very beginning of my live.......]
