"Yeah, of course I had, I'm not as bad as you with flying for I'm 10 years older than you" Springtides said with a laugh in her voice. Darkflames suddenly turned sad. "You don't have to rub in that I'm the youngest around here so also the most inexperienced, I'm just learning to use my horn for making sparks and I can lift off to make a few feet before I fall down again."
"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean it that way" His older sister, Springtides, said. "You know for yourself that after you I'm the youngest off the alicorns around here and that many tease me too, just like I tease you. I won't do it again, okay?"
Darkflames and Springtides lived with their mother and father in a forest where they protect the forest people against killer twoleggers, who want to kill the People for fun.
They often go to other forests to play with other alicorns for there is in every forest an alicorn family to protect the People.
Today they where at home, playing with the wild horses of the forest. They were in the main meadow, finding out who's the fastest. After some races, they decided the stallion of the flock is the fastest for he is already 15 years old. Darkflames is only 3 and Springtides is 13 years old.
Darkflames is an alicorn, a very rare one of his kind. He is almost full grown, but he can't fly and use his horn as good as the others of his age. Others think that, that is the consequence of his inellectual growth. He can't grow in two fields the same time. But as result of that growth, he can think very logical and he is very open for changes. So Darkflames often is required at some discussions his parents have. Mostly their talking about the relationship beween people and twoleggers. Darkflames is just a young one but he thinks it is time to make contact with them. "I think not all are rude and killers. Some may be kind and willing to help us protect the people against their killer kind. Just look at the people, they all have different characters, some are peacefull and others are not nice to us in spite of our efforts to protect them." And with that he opened once more a discussion about twoleggers. "No, Darkflames, you maybe are a lot smarter then me and sometimes your logic comes very in handy, but now your very wrong. You can't compare twoleggers with people. ALL twoleggers are KILLERS. There are NO 'kind' ones." His father said.
"But, honey, if... If that could be then we could be friends with them and then we had a better live." His mother replied. "NO IF'S, THERE ARE NO KIND TWOLEGGERS, THEIR ALL AS BAD AS THE ONES THAT TRY TO KILL PEOPLE FOR FUN HERE IN THE FOREST." Father screamed.
Now the short talk was over. Darflames wandered of and returned to his friends, the monkeys, to ask them if they had seen any twoleggers without weapons.
They hadn't but they did see a twolegger that didn't kill people not even to eat. She ate only plants and berries. She was in the forest for almost 3 days and she didn't even try to kill anyone with her bow she carried with her. After some asking he even found out that some monkeys even felt something when they were near here. As if she almost could talk to them. Also one of the little monkeys had made eye contact and he felt very safe around her. He could feel she wouldn't kill her.
Darkflames asked where they had seen her the last time. And one of the monkeys offered to show him the place where she slept last night. Thought she was almost trough the forest, she has to be in the forest still until tomorrow afternoon. Then she was outside the forest and there Darkflames couldn't reach her anymore, for he may not go outside the forest on his own before he learned to hide himself with his hornmagic.
He raced to the place that the monkey on his back showed him. From there he followed her tracks, to right behind her. He stood behind some dense bushes and every other twoleggers would have walked straight past him, but not her. She turned around as if she felt something, as if she felt his presence. [And their she stands], Darkflames thought. [This is the twolegger that is going to help us unite the people and twolegger world.]
She walked in his direction and suddenly she stands right in front of him, making eyecontact. She opened her mind and let his picture go in, Darkflames felt a sidder when she did that. Right after that, she asked: "How are you, Alicorn?
