Chapter 20
The day of the party, LizBeth went over Sparkle's house to get ready. Sparkle decided to wear a dress that she had bought a week ago. It was a tube top baby blue with a white sweater over it. She wore some baby blue platforms with straps that made her legs look longer. LizBeth being the loud and bold person she was, decided to wear a checkered lime green and white babydoll dress. But unlike other babydoll dresses, this one was tight. The part that went around her chest, was wrinkly, and the rest normal. It was strap-less to show off as much skin as possible. Her perfect tan was easily seen because of the colors of the dress. Her shoes were like Sparkles except they were white. Sparkle decided to leave her hair down and wore baby blue eyeshadow that brought showed of her light blue easily. She parted her hair on the side, and let her main frame shape her perfect face. LizBeth's hair was longer than Sparkles so she knew that if she left it down it would cover up some of the skin that she wanted to show off. She took this under concideration when she thought of Isaac, but decided to put it up. She wore it in a messy bun. She framed the bun all the way around with lime green and clear flower clips. When they were finally done getting ready they walked over to the full length mirrors and did little turns. They were both impressed by how they looked. Sparkle hoped Zac would like how she liked too.
"Well, all we gotta wait is for YOUR boyfriend to get here, so we can go," LizBeth said. She was still upset that Isaac wasn't coming to the party.
"LB I'm sorry Isaac couldn't come, but trust me, You are going to have fun. I promise. Look, if you don't then you can have my Dru Hill CD." Sparkle said, knowing LizBeth would agree.
"Fine, can I have your Nokio picture too? Please?!" LizBeth pleaded. She already had the same picture, but she wanted another. Sparkle nodded, and both girls went to look for Eric. In LizBeth's eyes he looked very nice. Better than nice. Eric didn't know the two girls were looking at him, as he posed in the mirror. He began talking into the mirrow.
"Hey babe, would you like to have a chance on the floor with the king of dance?" he said, LizBeth came up behing him, scaring him, and responding.
"Sure babe. But my boyfriend isn't here."
"Oh, hey, I, um, didn't know you guys were in here." he said blushing.
"Well duh, if you did know, you wouldn't have made a fool out of yourself like you just did. And, you wouldn't be blushing as bad as you are." Sparkle said. The two girls left his room when the doorbell rang. They both figured it would be Zac. So of course, Sparkle went running down the stairs, almost killing herself as she tripped on her platforms. She wasn't as used to wearing platforms as LizBeth was. Sparkle opened the door with a huge smile on her face. But the smile soon dissapeared, as she saw that it wasn't Zac, but Lyle.
"What are you doing here?!" Sparkle said in a loud voice. She hated just looking at him. Everytime she did, she remembered all the things he did to her. So everytime he came near her, she just looked the other way. Sparkle could sense how angry LizBeth was, just by all the tension that was building up inside her.
"I just came by to tell you that I forgive you for being the way you are to me." Lyle said with a stupidness that made both girls really angry. LizBeth stepped up to get closer to the door, but Sparkle stopped her. She knew that if she let her, LizBeth would kick Lyle's ass. But Sparkle wasn't looking for any trouble.
"First of all, I never asked for an acceptance of an apology. Now, I don't know how to get this through your stupid little head, but I want you to leave me the hell alone. I'm not interested in you, and I'm really sorry I ever went out with you. So just leave me alone. I don't want any trouble, especially today." Sparkle was sick of this always happening and didn't know what else to say.
"Don't worry, sooner or later I'm going to get one of y'all. I'm looking for you LizBeth." Lyle said this turning around to leaving. Zac then came up. He didn't even waist his time looking at Lyle, he walked straight up to Sparkle and hugged her. He asked if there was anything wrong, since he saw Lyle. Sparkle told him no and pulled him inside the house closing the door behind him. Inside, Sparkle was talking to Zac about how fun the party was going to be. Her brothers partys are always fun. Thank God, hes smart enough to rent a room and have a the party there. When Eric came downstairs, he announced that it was time to go, but he also had to compliment LizBeth for looking so great. Zac noticed it and didn't like how aggressive Eric was with LizBeth.
"LizBeth, you truly look beautiful tonight," Eric said as they were driving to the party. Zac and Sparkle sat in back. Zac saw the way Eric and LizBeth flirted with each other. It was like she didn't even have a boyfriend.
"Ey, Sparkle, why is your friend flirting with your brother? When shes going out with my brother?" Zac asked. He knew that Isaac wasn't exactly crazy about her, but that didn't give her the right to cheat on him.
"Zac take it easy. It's just innocent flirting. Nothing's going on between them. My bro knows shes going out with your brother. LB's faithful, just chill okay?" Sparkle said with a kind of annoyed voice. After what he told her about how Isaac felt, she didn't think he had the right to get mad. Nothing else was said about LizBeth and Eric between Zac and Sparkle. But Zac still feared the party. What if she got drunk or something and she wouldn't be able to know what she was doing.
"Nothing is going to happen at the party between some guy and LizBeth right Sparkle?" Zac asked worried. Zac didn't want his brother cheated on.
"No, Don't worry Zac."
"Are you sure?"
