Chapter 19
The next morning, Eric walked into Sparkle's room, and found her on the phone. This was weird because it was way too early for Sparkle to be on the phone. He waited until she hung up to start questioning.
"Who was that?" he asked.
"It was the girl of your dreams. She wanted know if we could give her a ride to school," Sparkle replied. She knew that Eric knew that she was talking about LizBeth.
"Oh cool. Well, hurry up. You have ten minutes if we're going to give my women a ride," Eric said in a playful voice, even though he knew she had boyfriend.
"Oh, wait, I came in here for a reason. Here are the flyers for the party. How old are the people you're giving them to?"
"I'm giving them out to everyone I know, which mostly are 14 year olds. You know LizBeth, she won't hand them out to anyone more younger."
"Well, I don't want anyone younger then 14 at my party."
"Well okay then."
"Oh one more thing, are you going to bring your boyfriend?" The question surprised Sparkle because she thought that Eric didn't care about who she brought to the party. Eric on the other hand, was really worried about Sparkle, because he knew how she got when she got drunk. Then again, Zac didn't seem like the type of guy that would take advantage of Sparkle.
"Yeap." Sparkle replied, after she did so, Eric left. Ten minutes later, they were on their way to LizBeth's house. Sparkle got in the back seat, because she knew that Eric wanted LizBeth up front with him. When they got to her house, all they had to do is honk, and LizBeth came out. She was always on time when someone came to pick her up.
"Hey Eric, thanks for giving me a ride." LizBeth said in a tone that drove Eric crazy.
"Sup Spark, have you talked to Zac?"
"Yeah, I talked to him yesterday, why?" Sparkle asked. She was surprised that LizBeth was asking about Zac.
"Cause, I've been calling Isaac, and he's never home. So I wanted to know if you heard him in the background or something."
"Oh, well, I didn't sorry. Damn, you really like him huh?" Sparkle wondered. She was surprised that she was just into ONE guy. This was very rare, and very weird.
"Yeah, I do. It's weird, cause I didn't know I was capable of commitment." LizBeth answered truthfully. Eric hated the fact that she now had a boyfriend. But he wasn't really listening to what they were saying. He was concentrating on what LizBEth was wearing. Her very short black skirt showed off her perfect legs. And her tight gray hooded sweatshirt hugged her all the right places. Sparkle on the other hand was off thinking about something she worried about. She was thinking about Zac. Although she was going out with him, she feared that the feeling she was experiencing inside will soon fade away or will HAVE to fade away. Above everything, Zac still belonged to a band. She thanked God every night that they were in a huge break before they went into the studio to make another album. She just hoped that Zac could always stay by her side forever. She also wondered what happened to Taylor. She hadn't heard a thing about him ever since the LizBeth and Tay incident. She was afraid of asking Zac because maybe he would get the wrong idea and get mad. When they got to school, both girls got out, without even saying goodbye to Eric, so he just took off. Sparkle handed flyers to LizBeth, and reminded her to give them to everyone within the proper age group. Then the two girls were on their separate ways. When lunchtime came, they met in front of Sparkle's locker. LizBeth got there first, and found Lyle doing the combination to his locker. LizBeth couldn't help but to say something to him.
"So how does it feel to have your ass kicked by one of the Hanson's?" She teased.
"Fuck you, LizBeth," he replied.
"Fuck me? Let me think about it....Nah, I don't think so." LizBeth always said a bunch of crap to Lyle knowing he wouldn't do anything. She always had some kind of mind control over him, ever since they were little.
"Haha, real funny, just leave me alone."
"Okay, I know it might hurt to talk with a swolen lip, so I'll leave you alone." She said as she turned around. Just then Sparkle showed up laughing. She heard almost their whole conversation, since they both had really loud voices.
"Hey LB, do you have any flyers left?" she asked as she opened her locker. From the corner of her eyes she could see that LizBeth was shaking her head, indicating that she had no more flyers.
"How could you run out already? Did you give them out to people that were younger than you?" Sparkle asked in a stern voice. Her brother wanted her to make sure of that no younger kids then 14 would be at the party.
"Ugh, NO, why would I do that? I barely know anyone at this school in a lower grade than me. Why, do you still have flyers left?"
"Yeah,here, help me." she said giving her slightly more than half.
"Oh, yeah, Isaac paged me, and said to call him." she said as she closed her locker and began walking.
"Okay let me use your phone." Sparkle handed her the cell-phone.
"Hello, Isaac?"
"Yeah?"
"It's LizBeth."
"Oh, hey Zac told me you called...a couple times."
"Yeah. Hey , I was wondering if you wanted to go to a party this Saturday? Please?"
"Sorry babe, I can't. Me and my dad are meeting up with some guys to discuss some stuff about the band. Sorry."
"It's okay, I understand. Well, I have to go since I'm at school."
"Okay, bye babe."
"Later baby" LizBeth then let out a sigh and turned to Sparkle.
"He can't go because he has some business to take care of. Damn, I'm not going to have fun if Isaac doesn't go." LizBeth said with a frown.
"Yes you will, there's going to be a lot of fun things at the party, I mean come on MY BROTHER is throwing the party!" Sparkle said with a smile on her face.
"Hhhheeyyyy!!" LizBeth said putting her arms up, and semi-dancing. Although they were still young, LizBeth and Sparkle were not the most innocent people in the world. They were far from being innocent when it came to partying. They both did their fair share of drinking, and Sparkle smoked whenever she got the chance. But they both knew how to control it, and not let it get out of hand. Little did both girls know, that this time, that would be a little harder....at least for one of them.
For the next couple of days, Sparkle had her head stuck somewhere in the clouds while LizBeth had her head elsewhere. Sparkle couldn't stop thinking about Zac. As the days past, she worried more and more, that Zac would have to do some kind of press conference, concert, or anything else. Now that school was just about over, she could think about the whole summer that waited for her and Zac. She also didn't want to get too close to him, because both of them knew that soon they would have to part. Sparkle feared that thought because she somehow knew that she already had gotten to close to him. LizBeth on the other hand couldn't stop thinking about the party...and Isaac. She knew she was going to have fun at the party. She just hoped that it was the kind of fun she wanted it to be. Innocent yet crazy. If Isaac wasn't there she would somewhat mess around with other guys. She just hoped that Sparkle would be there to help her. But she knew that she would be somewhere else with Zac, which made it even harder.
Over those couple of days, it was really hard to reach Sparkle because she was always on the phone with Zac. Everyone of their friends knew that they were going out, but no-one knew how deeply they were falling for each other in so short of time, except Eric and LizBeth. Neither of them, ever admit it to anyone that they have said 'I love you ' to each other and really mean it. Eric noticed Sparkle being happy and always having a smile on her face. She hardly ever had a frown on her face. Although, sometimes at night he hears her crying over her sister Lucy. She fears for the future that waits for her because shes just a baby and shes growing with no kind of love from her parent. The only parent she really had was Daisy. Eric also hears her sometimes talking to mom in her sleep. Repeately, she asks' With who mom?? Who do you want me to be happy with??' but always wakes up after. LizBeth just knew that Sparkle was in love because Sparkle was like a sister to her. She knew what she was feeling. She just hoped that she didn't get hurt if Zac did someday break up with her for some stupid reason. She just hoped it could last.....
"Hey Zac, have you ever been in love before? I mean truly in love?" Sparkle asked fearing the fact that this question might make him uncomfortable and he wouldn't want to answer it.
"Yes I have. I'm in love with our fans. They are the greatest. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them."
"No, I mean, have you ever been in love with on girl. Just one?"
"No. Sparkle, what I feel for you right now is waaaay greater then love. I do love you though. A lot."
"I love you too Zac. I adore you."
"Although..." Sparkle noticed that Zac got really nervous as he said 'although'. She hoped that he wasn't going to mention a girl.
"When I was really little, I had a best friend. Her name was Hope. But she died in a car accident. She was truly the bestest friend I ever had. She was just so beautiful. I guess its pretty dumb for me to still love her huh?" Zac was surprised that he just opened up like that to Sparkle. Though, he knew he could trust her.
"Nah, its not dumb. I know someone that feels the same way." Sparkle saw a similarity between Zac and LizBeth because LizBeth also had a long life friend named Anthony, who also died.
"You mean, you had a a close friend that died?"
"No, LizBeth did. I knew him too. His name was Anthony. He was a great guy. They were best friends since they were like 2. He died when she was 10, and he was 9. She was so sad."
"Damn, but, I guess she had it worse, since they were friends for 7 years. But she has loved someone before the way I love you right?" Zac asked. He was beginnig to feel kinda sorry for LizBeth.
"Nope. She's never loved anyone else. She doesn't trust guys. She knows all they want her for is for..well you know..I mean, if she could find someone different, maybe she would fall in love. Who knows, maybe your brother will be the one."
"To tell you the truth, I don't think so. I mean, I've seen the way Isaac treats girls he REALLY likes, and he treats them way different then LizBeth. If he liked her as much as he says he does, he'd be on the phone with her 24/7 and he would've cancelled that meeting to go to the party with her. Once he wanted to cancel a concert to go out with his ex girlfriend."Zac said noticing this just as he was saying it. He knew Isaac liked LizBeth, but not as much as everyone thought. Zac also wondered at the same moment of what would happen if he found someone else that he could maybe love more then Sparkle. Or what would happen if Sparkle found someone she was more interested in then Zac. He got so scared of the thought. He never got scared over something like that. Before, he didn't even care about girls. To him, Sparkle was different. So different, that he wouldn't be afraid of quitting the band for her. He was sure though that Sparkle wouldn't let him. He also asked himself what would happen if she would cheat on him. He wouldn't be able to deal with that fact. Someway, he knew that Sparkle and Zac would always be connected. No matter what.
