Chapter 15
As the night grew longer and the conversation got deeper, LizBeth still couldn't get off one question that bugged her to death.
"Are you sure that you are SERIOUSLY in love with Zac?" LizBeth asked hoping for another answer besides 'I'm not sure.'
"LB, whenever I think about Zac, I get butterflies in my stomach. I imagine him and I being together forever. I just can't live without him!" Sparkle said gazing at a photo of her and Zac at the concert.
"Sparkle to tell you the truth, I dont think you're in love. I mean, you only think that because he's your first relationship ever since Lyle." LizBeth enphasized the word Lyle, which really aggravated Sparkle. LizBeth hit the red button with Sparkle when she said that. Sparkle was really mad. Not only for how she said that but for not believing her when she said she did love Zac. She was supposed to be her best friend, but instead of being happy for her she was opposing to what she was saying she was feeling.
" How could you say that LizBeth?! You don't know what I'm feeling! You have no idea how it feels to be happy for the first time ever since my mom died. You know very well that Lyle and Zac are two completely different people. Zac is such an amazing guy, and if you're saying I don't love him, then maybe you have a thing for Zac knowing that he likes me." Sparkle was up on her feet and just about ready to hit LizBeth.
"HA! me? Jealous? I don't think so. You know that I have no kind of interest for Zac except friendship." Sparkle thought about what they were fighting about. Maybe LizBeth was right, maybe she wasn't in love with Zac. Maybe she only thought that she loved him because it was her first relationship since Lyle. Now she felt bad for accusing LizBeth of being jealous of her.
"I'm sorry LizBeth. I know that. It's just that I guess I think I'm in love and it aggravates me to see that my best friend doesn't believe me."
"I'm sorry too Spark. Like you said I don't know what you're feeling and I have no right to tell you what you're feeling or not." Both girls hugged and went to bed. In the morning both girls had a hard time getting up. LizBeth got up did hair in a cute way like always, and put on a short black skirt with a grey tube top. Sparkle on the otherhand, wore a tight white tee with some baggy jeans. Two total different persons best friends for life. When they got to school, to both girls it seemed like forever. During english class, Isaac paged Sparkle which almost got her in trouble. When lunch finally came, LizBeth decided she was going to ditch.
"Hey Sparkle, come on, let's ditch." LizBeth said grabbing Sparkle's arm.
"I can't, I have a big exam in 7th." Like always, Sparkle thinking about her grades.
"Nope lets go Sparkle, I'm not taking any of your stupid excuses today."
"Okay fine! Oh! before I forget, Isaac paged me during english and told me to tell you to call him up."
"Oh cool, do you have your cell phone with you?" Sparkles dad bought Eric and her a cell phone and a pager since he was always out of town.
"Yeah, here."
Sparkle was surprised that LizBeth had already memorized Isaac's phone number.
"Hello?"
"Hey Isaac, It's LizBeth."
"Oh hey."
"So whats up?"
"Oh,um, I was wondering if you'd like to, maybe, go out to the movies this Saturday with me?"
"Yeah I'd love to. Hold on a sec."
LizBeth turned over to Sparkle.
"What?"
"Isaac invited me to the movies this Saturday."
"So?"
"Hello! I'm supposed to go the beach on with your brother that day."
"Oh yeah. Well, um.. Oh I got it. Tell Isaac it has to be after 5 or 6 because you have to do something with your father and wont be back till that time."
"Thats a great idea Spark!" Both surprised that she'd come up with such a great idea in so little time.
"Isaac?"
"Yeah I'm here."
"Okay I can go but we have to go after 6 because I have to do some things with my dad and won't be back till that time."
"That's fine."
"Okay well I'll talk to you later."
"Okay bye"
When she hung up, Sparkle right away saw the smile on her face. Which meant a good thing.
"So?..."
"This is great! I have a date with your gorgeous brother and a famous popstar this Saturday. Too good to be true." Both of the girls giggled having no idea what was waiting for them in the future.
