Chapter 13
Sparkle and LizBeth decided to go to LizBeth's house instead of Sparkle's. For some reason Sparkle liked it their way better than her home. She also had a feeling like something was going on at home which scared her. She couldnt put up with something else so they just went to LizBeth's house to kick it there.
"Who's ever home, IM home!!" LizBeth hollered.
Shortly after she said that, her little sister, Evalyn, came running down the stairs.
"Oh no, here comes trouble." LizBeth whispered to Sparkle. Sparkle on the other hand, loved Evalyn and Evalyn loved her. Evalyn ran up to Sparkle and hugged her. She then turned around to her sister.
"Johnathon said he has some messages for you." Evalyn said as she headed towards the kitchen. Sparkle put a smile on her face that LizBeth caught.
"C'mon, you get to see Johnny..."LizBeth told Sparkle kind of teasingly. She grabbed her arm and dragged her upstairs. Johnathon was LizBeth's brother. He was Sparkle's boyfriend at one time, and had a really serious thing going on at one time. Later on they broke up because Sparkle had gone to a party without him and cheated on him. Eventhough they had broken up, Johnny still had a thing for her. LizBeth knew it but she knew if she told Sparkle that would just complicate her life more. Johnny was 15, he was around 5'9, and had hazel eyes like his sister. He was sincerly all of LizBeth's "dream boy."
"Shut up!" said Sparkle with a very fake voice. That was all she could say because just because she wasnt going out with him anymore didnt mean she didnt mind seeing him every now and then.
"Hey crackhead. Anyone call?" LizBeth asked as she walked into Johnny's room without knocking. Johnny was on the phone as usual talking to his friends.
"Yeah, Trey, Marcus, James, Cameron and Chante called and asked them if you could call them back. Micheal, Brianna, Christina and Eric said to page them. Oh.. and some dude named Taylor. Mom called too and said to call her back as soon as you can." Johnny then realized that Sparkle was in the room too. He smiled at her and she smiled back.
"Well hey stranger." Johnny said in a flirtious way.
"Hey Johnny." LizBeth then looked at them two and thought it was cute how they were talking to each.
"Sparkle did you hear that? Taylor called me." Sparkle quickly turned her head towards LizBeth and gave her a confused look.
"Taylor? wow..." Sparkle looked back at Johnny and gave off a killing smile. Johnny noticed what Sparkle was wearing and quickly was turned on.
"Wait a minute... Eric who?" LizBeth said breaking the stare between Sparkle and Johnny.
"Sparkle's brother you idiot. Heres the list of everyone who called." Johnny said giving the list to LizBeth. LizBeth quickly took it and headed out the door dragging once again Sparkle.
"Damn, everyone is calling you huh? Ey, Trey's after you. He called you 6 times." Sparkle said looking at the list.
"Yeah I wonder what my mom wants. And Taylor." LizBeth said as she dialed her moms number. LizBeths parents were divorced. They had been for 5 years. Her dad remarried two years ago. LizBeth was the one that was LEAST fond of new wife. To her surprise she wasnt home. So she called her cell phone.
"Hey mom"
"Hey sweetie, I got to tell you that I wont be able to pick you up this weekend. Im really sorry babe."
LizBeth quickly put a frown on and started to tell off her mom how she is always canceling on her. Sparkle meanwhile thought about Taylor. She kept wondering why he had called LizBeth. She was so mad at both him and Zac. Sparkle laid on LizBeths huge king size bed and then looked up at LizBeth and started concetrating on what she was saying to her mom. She realized that once again her mother canceled on her. LizBeth was almost in tears and then just suddenly slammed the phone down and walked over to Johnnys room. She heard her say that her mom wasnt going to be able to pick them up this weekend. LizBeth entered the room and Sparkle knew very well not to ask her what just went on so she didnt. Sparkle simply acted like she didnt hear anything.
"Hey are you going to call Taylor?"Sparkle asked LizBeth hoping she was too pissed off.
"Hell no! Not after what he did to you and me." LizBeth said with a voice like saying..'Im not in the mood to talk so just back off.' Sparkle looked down.
"Hey can I go online to check my mail?" Sparkle asked.
"Sure"
Sparkle signed on. She opened her mailbox and noticed that there was an email from Zac. It read:
Dear Sparkle,
Hey Sweetie. I wanted to tell you how sorry I am by the way I acted today. Im so so sorry. I know me and Tay made you feel very sad and I guess mad too. Sparkle, I really like you. I dont want to lose you. Not now or ever. I know you are probably thinking that its too soon and that I barely know you, but I like you. A Lot. I cant help it. I just hope that we could become more than friends. So what do you say? Would you, Sparkle, go out with me??

Sparkle was in tears as she finished reading the email. LizBeth quickly noticed and knew exactly what was going on. Sparkle at the moment decided what she wanted. She knew her happiness was with Zac.
"Call him" LizBeth said handing her the phone.
Sparkle signed off.
"Thanks" Sparkle said getting up and hugging her best friend. LizBeth always knew when something was going on. Sparkle didnt know how, but she was glad her best friend had this ability.
