15-- Feronia. Italian. Feronia is a solitary fire goddess who rules the heat of reproductive life as well as the fires of the Earth. Her great energy couldn't be contained within towns, so her sacred places were in the open country. At her festivals, there were fairs, the first fruits were offered to her, slaves were freed, and men walked barefoot on hot coals.
