15-- Tellus Mater. Roman Earth Mother. Companion of Ceres, also the mother death goddess. A pregnant cow was sacrificed to her.
19-- Ceres. Roman. Force of vegetable growth personified. She's Hellenized, associated with Demeter. She's also a funeral divinity -- a force of creation, but also of the death of the plants that makes them edible.
21-- Pales. Roman cattle goddess. She was also the one begged for forgiveness for any accidental slight against nature.
28-May 3-- Flora. Embodiment of the flowering of all nature. She was also the patron of prostitutes, and was celebrated with a mass orgy: passing around of obscene medallions, scattering beans, and making love to passerby. During this Floralia, the female body was especially honored -- it was a festival of nude women.
