| STARFOX ADVENTURES FIRST IMPRESSIONS | |||||||||

Well, it's here at last, the game that loads of people have been waiting for, Starfox Adventures, for Gamecube. I got it on the 24th of November (2 days after it was released), and I was playing it all afternoon. It's AWESOME! The first funny thing to point out is that it's exactly like Zelda: You can't jump from the ground, only on ledges, you wave your hands in the air when you get an object, etc... But I'm a Zelda fan, so it looked so great! It seems Rare wanted to do their own puzzle game, Zelda style, but as I thought, it's even better. It's really cinematic, You have loads of cut-scenes all the time, and all the characters talk human language (NOT sounds like Banjo-Kazooie), like in Conker's Bad Fur Day, with subtitles. Some characters talk in native language, or dinosaur talk, but it's all subtitled. The graphics are among the best I've seen, like Fox's famous fur, which is astonishing. It waves with the wind, and it moves when he runs. the music is lovely. In some tunes, you can hear native people singing in the background, and it makes it look more like a dinosaur planet. Now then... the control? Ooooh yeah, baby! It all moves so smooth... controlling Fox is a true pleasure! So, now, after all that, I'll tell ya a bit more about the actual game. The Starfox team is the same, but Falco is not there. That's a real shame. Well, this is a first impression, so while I'm writing this, I'm only in the first temple (you know, the maze place where you fight a boss at the end), so maybe Falco apears at the end, 'cos there's a picture of him in the manual, but it says he left the Starfox team. Confusing... So, if you're a real Nintendo fan, this game can't be missing in your collection. And if you like Zelda, it has to be in you collection of games too. Go to the shop and buy it. NOW!
