I bought the radio from an ebay seller in Pittsburgh. The radio itself was $49 and the shipping was about the same. Although pricey, it was the best packaging job I had ever seen. They put it into a large box and sprayed liquid foam (into bags) around the radio. As the foam dried, it made a solid foam form around the radio that protected this little guy on it 1500 mile trip. Although the cabinet looks pretty rough in the "before" pictures, there was only one spot of missing veneer on the lower right side of the radio, probably due to moisture damage. This happened to be at a nice big seam, so replacing it was easy. I refinished it in lacquer, using the minwax stains mixed in with the lacquer for toning.
I paid too much for the radio (when you consider shipping) but I had just gotten beat on a local auction for another console by a buck or two and this was my response. In retrospect, I'm glad I bought it. I like its lines and it finished out quite nice.
