Mr. Carson's computer-based
Music Project:

Elementary music is typically taught at an extraordinarily rudementary level.  Teachers expect only the most basic repetitions of simple musical phrases.  Higher order musical thinking skills such as composition are seldom mentioned.  However, Mr. Carson's class was up for a challenge.  The music unit enabled every student to compose an original contemporary song and assemble a personal CD of student work.  In addition to this, computer literacy levels rose unimaginably.

Teaching this music unit was challenging, but Mr. Carson believed in his students. Here are student-composed songs that prove it truly was possible.
