Creamy Chicken-Rice Casserole
- 1 (6 oz. pkg) long
grain & wild rice mix
- 3-4 c chopped cooked
chicken
- 1 small onion,
chopped
- 1 (2 oz.) jar diced
pimento, drained
- 1 (16 oz) pkg.
French-style green beans thawed
- 1 (6 oz.) jar sliced
mushrooms, drained
- 1 (8 oz.) can sliced
water chestnuts
- 1 can cream of
celery soup
- 1 (8 oz.) container
sour cream
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 c shredded Swiss
or Fontina Cheese
Directions:
Cook rice according to
package directions.
Combine rice & next
10 ingredients; spoon into a shallow 3-quart baking dish. Top
with cheese.
Bake in preheated 350F
oven for 30 mins or until bubbly around the edges.
Takes about 30 mins to
assemble, fairly quick dish.
