DUNLOP rockin lausanne, switzerland since the early 90s MEMBERS Joel BIOGRAPHY dunlop is enigmatic. present and absent. here and there. first created in the early nineties, it fainted away shortly after having had its first and only gig. it was left dormant, almost dying. not quite though: after having been given intensive care, it has begun to slowly breathe again. i succeeded in reactivating it but i have to keep watch over it. the contribution to this tribute is dunlop’s first public appearance for years. the first sign of its reconstruction. it is accompanied by a new collection of songs and works in progress. just music for itself. soundscapes for imaginary spaces. i am dunlop but dunlop is not me. nothing is clear nor simple. the more i try to make it consistent the more it baffles me. push the door and make your own way through. to record, i used my voice, an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar, a bass and a computer. i recorded this track between June and July 2001. i picked this song because of its repetitive and heady atmosphere.
