Description (details & conditions):

With only 57,000 actual miles this RARE 1957 "210 HardTop" is a great find. It's a very nice driver "as is" or you could restore it to Original. This classic is all complete and original except for the wheels. The previous owner put less than 300 miles on the car in the last 9 years.

BODY...There are no major dents or body damage. There is a small crease on the left 1/4 panel. The foot of both front fenders has has some rust repair and it was not the best job. The doors, hood, and trunk lid all fit, and operate very good.

PAINT...This classic is wearing it's original clothes! It's a nice 20 footer. The paint is wearing thin, and there are several chips in the paint.

CHROME/STAINLESS...All chrome and stainless is intact and in very good "Driver Quality" condition. Both 1/4 panel stainless have some small dents. The hood bar has a crack in it.

BUMPERS...Both bumpers are nice and straight, but do have some small scrathes. They would be great cores to be re-chromed.

GLASS...The windshield is cracked, but the car comes with a new windshield. The balance of the glass is in great condition.

WEATHERSTRIPPING...The door and trunk weatherstripping is in excellent shape.

ENGINE...I was told that this '57 has a 265 in it, and I thought that can't be. But, after reseaching this, I find that it could be. Chevrolet used up some inventory 265 c.i. motors in 3-Speed Manual cars and 3-Speed Over-Drive cars. The intake manifold has an ID #3732880 which was used on 265 and 283 engines. The book I read said that the 265 motors were all painted yellow in 1957 so the assembly line workers could readily tell them apart from the new 283 engines. I can not see where this engine was painted yellow. If this is a 265 engine, it could another factor that would make this car very rare. I've never seen a 265 engine in a '57 Chevy. I have a friend that has owned almost 25 1957s and he has never owned one either. He said he saw one once. The motor runs very good.

CARBURATOR...

TRANSMISSION...The original 3-Speed manual transmission works great. It still has the original steering column shifter.

EXHAUST...The exhaust is in very good congition, and has a newer muffler.

BRAKES...The original drum brakes work very good.

TIRES...The 15" B.F. Goodrich tires are like new.

WHEELS/HUBCAPS...The chrome mags are in excellent condition. I do have the original wheels, but not the hubcaps. I would deduct $200. if you do not want the mag wheels.

INTERIOR...The 100% complete and original interior does need some work.

SEATS...The front seat, in the driver's area, is worn badly on the seat & back. The back seat is in great shape.

DOOR PANELS...The door panels are near excellent condition. On the driver's door, the vinyl needs to be tucked under the stainless steel trim.

WINDOW OPERATION...All windows, including vent windows, operate very good. The hardtop flippers work very good also, with the driver's door may be needing new springs.

HEADLINER...There are about 5 small holes in the headliner. Mice have been in this classic at one time, but did minimal damage. The windlace is intact, and in good shape.

CARPET...A vinyl mat was standard for this Model 210. The mat is in good shape, except in the driver's area, where it is well worn.

DASH....The black and gray dash is in excellent condition. There is clock-delete plate on the right side. The steering wheel has some worn paint.

INSTRUMENTS/ELECTRICAL...The headlights, turn signals, gas guage, oil and temp. guages all work. The dome light does not work. This Chevy comes with a "Factory" windshield washer, including the washer fluid container under the hood.

RADIO...The original "push button" radio does not work.

TRUNK...The trunk floor is very solid and nearly rust free (light surface rust). The trunk rail is very solid too! The original trunk mat needs to be replaced. This classic comes with an original complete jack and spare tire.

FRAME...The frame is very solid and has no rust.

FLOORS...You'll see a small rust in the driver's side area under the gas pedal. The balance of the floors are very good.

ROCKERS/BRACES...The inner rockers and braces are in great condition. They are very solid and have no rust holes.

STEERING & SUSPENSION...The steering is very solid and tight. Ball joints and bushings could be original. There has been New shocks mounted on the rear of the car.
