Here is nice "All Original" '55 4-Door Sedan. This car will need some work, and it does have some rust. It runs, and it is a good car, maybe for a father/son project. At only $2900. it's nicely priced for a beginner restorer.

BODY...The body is fairly straight, but ther is a nasty dent under the right taillight. The dent does effect the right 1/4 panel too. There are a couple of other smaller dents also. There is rust in both outer rocker panels, tiny holes above the rear wheel wells, and a hole under the trunk lid. Above the headlight area was nicely repaired at one time.

PAINT...The paint is all original except the primer area around the headlights. The top has lots of paintless spots probably due to being parked under a tree. The body has many tiny paint chips, and this car really needs a paint job.

CHROME/STAINLESS...Most of the chrome and stainlees is intact and in fair to very good condition. The right rocker moulding is missing. The left 1/4 moulding needs to be attached, and the right 1/4 moulding has some creases.

BUMPERS...The front bumper has some surface rust and a small 3/8" hole. The rear bumper has some scratches and 2 holes from a hitch that was installed.

GLASS...Most of the glass is nice driver quality. The driver's door and pass. door vent window have cracks. There is some light fogging on the windshield and some side windows.

WEATHERSTRIPPING...The door weatherstripping is very good. The trunk WS is worn and cracked.

ENGINE...After I installed a new battery, fuel pump, a refurbished gas tank, and new sending unit the engine runs very good. The starter was rebuilt also.

CARBURATOR...The carburator was rebuilt, and works good.

TRANSMISSION...The automatic Power-Glide works very good.

EXHAUST...The exhaust pipe and muffler are very good, but there is no tailpipe.

BRAKES...This is one area that this classic need some work. The original brakes will need some rebuilding. The car pulls to the left when the brakes are applied.

TIRES...The 15" tires hold air, but they are old and there is not much thread left.

WHEELS/HUBCAPS...The 15" wheels were painted black. The Model 210 hubcaps and in fair/good condition.

INTERIOR...The original interior is well worn. There were some mice in the car at one time. Ive done quite a bit of cleaning.

SEATS...The front seat is in rough shape. The driver's area seat is worn out and the springs are bad too. The back seat is in fair condition. After cleaning it, I noticed that it is not the same fabric as the front seat.

DOOR PANELS...The door panels are very good, but the door pulls need to be recovered.

WINDOW OPERATION...All windows and the vent windows operate well.

HEADLINER...The headliner needs to be replaced. There is no front section, and there are several small holes.

CARPET...There is no carpet in this car. The rubber mat si in rough shape.

DASH....The original dash is complete, with all knobs and bezels intact . It needs to be repainted. One heater lever is broken.

INSTRUMENTS/ELECTRICAL...One headlight is burned out. The dome light, temp. guage and oil light all work. The gas guage, and turn signals do not work.

RADIO...The original "Push Button" radio does not work.

TRUNK...The trunk is in very good shape. There is just some surface rust on the left side. The trunk rail is very good. The original trunk mat is bad! There is a spare tire, but no jack.

FRAME...The frame is very nice with just some surface rust. The body mounts are very good too!

FLOORS...The front floor pans have some rust, with the passenger side being the worst. There is some rust where the floor/brace/rocker meet under the back seat, on both sides. This is a typical area that gets rusty on 4-doors.

ROCKERS/BRACES...The inner rockers are rusty. Most of the floor braces are rusty too.

STEERING & SUSPENSION...The steering is very tight. I would guess that the shocks should be replaced.
