Description (details & conditions):

Here is a very nice driver/project car that has a lot going for it. Station wagons are on the rise as far as popularity! Air Conditioning and Power Steering make great additions to this Classic. The AC works great, but the PS needs a little work. This car was built in Atlanta, GA and was a Florida car for most of it's life.

BODY...The body is fairly straight over-all, but there is some body filler in the bottom of the front fenders, and lower door areas. The tailgate has some bad rust in it. All doors, hood, tailgate, & liftgate close very nicely. The tailgate cables need some attention.

PAINT...The paint on the body & roof is just fair to good. There is not much shine. This "Cool" classic needs some new clothes!

CHROME/STAINLESS...The bezels, emblems, hood bird, and grille have some pitting. The stainless steel is all intact and in very good condition.

BUMPERS...The Rear bumper is New, and the front bumper is staight, but should be re-chromed.

GLASS...There has been a New windshield installed, and the balance of the glass is in great condition.

WEATHERSTRIPPING...The door weatherstripping is checked and worn. It needs to be replaced after the car is painted.

ENGINE...The engine runs good, but the fuel pump might be a little weak. I have to prime it to get it running after it has been sitting a couple of days.

CARBURATOR...The rochester carb works good.

TRANSMISSION...The TH350 automatic works great. The power glide indicator is still in the dash.

EXHAUST...The muffler and tailpipe of the single exhaust look very new. The rest works as it should.

BRAKES...The original brakes work very good as does the emergency brake.

TIRES...The tires are very good shape and are all P215/75R15. Mohawk tires on front and Crestwood tires on the rear.

WHEELS/HUBCAPS...The wheels are original painted 1955 wheels, and have 1956 BelAir hub caps in very good shape.

INTERIOR...The original interior is very good, but could use a few things to a bit better.

SEATS...The original seats are very good and sit nice, however need some seam work.

DOOR PANELS...The door panels are very good...no tears. The left rear door panel needs to be put back on the door.

WINDOW OPERATION...All of the windows work very well!

HEADLINER...The headliner is in great shape, but just has a tiny tear by the left side coat hook.

CARPET...There is a rubber mat in the front in good condition. The balance of the carpet has been replaced with a not so attractive blue carpet in good condition.

DASH....The dash is in great shape...just needs to be painted. Bel Air dash would be really nice in this car. The cigarette lighter is not original.

INSTRUMENTS/ELECTRICAL...Headlights (dimmer), brake lights, turn signals, dome lights, and gas gauge all work fine.

RADIO...The aftermarket radio works good, not the best sound though. There are some speakers in the rear seat area.

TRUNK...The spare tir well is great. There is some bad rust in the tailgate.

FRAME...The frame and body mounts are in graet shape.

FLOORS...This car could use front and rear floor pans on both sides. The floors are not terrible but do have some rust and holes. You could possibly repair the floor with a POR15 Floor pan repair kit.

ROCKERS/BRACES...The rockers have a couple of rust holes in them. The braces are in good condition. I do have undercarriage pictures available, just call and I'll e-mail them to you.

STEERING & SUSPENSION...The suspension seems to very good. The power steering has a rubbing sound when turned to the left. The steering is a little loose too.
