So many responsibilities. I have so many responsibilities to fulfil. There’s the band. We’ve gotta keep going at it if we’re gonna make it big. What am I saying, ‘if’? When we make it. We have the talent, the fans. Now all we need is the break.
“Then there’s the rent. I’m not the only one who wants Babbitt out of the way. So, I have to get a job. Just part time, mind you. Don’t want to spend all my time doing something I really don’t want to be doing. Maybe I could get a job in the music shop. That wouldn’t make it so bad.
“Food. That’s a big thing, since we don’t usually have much, except after a gig that is. After a gig. That’s the best time. Well, actually, the best time is during the gig. You get such a natural high from performing in front of all those people. It’s what being a musician is all about. Well, that’s what I think anyway.
“But of course, it’s a lot of hard work to get to that stage. And boy did we put it in. When we first got together, it was a nightmare! We couldn’t agree on what to play. Eventually though we settled on Hard Day’s Night. The Beatles are the only band that we all have an interest in. But I guess that’s what make us so unique. It really shows in our original stuff. That’s what’s gonna make us, or break us.
“Gee, I wish I could write songs. But I can sing, and I have the looks, and the girls. So I guess it's not all bad.”
