Escape!

Day 3, 11.22, beach

The sun beats down on my perfectly tanned body, and my well toned muscles are kept active with the swimming I so effortlessly do. I had been thrown overboard from the merchant boat I was travelling in, and though my chances of survival were slim, I have managed to swim to shore. Which shore it is, I have no idea. But I will soon discover the nature of this strange place, as I have nearly reached land.

The depth of the water is such that I am now able to stand up. But something has hold of my ankle! It must be a sea monster! Using all my strength I try to wrangle free from the clutches of this horrible being.

“Ha! I got ya this time Micky!”

The thing gargles at me. It has a firm grip on my foot. How am I to defeat this creature in it’s own territory? Then the thought strikes me. I must drag it out of the water, where it will no doubt perish in the unforgiving heat.

Using my superior strength, I heave the monster through the shallows of the ocean. Suddenly, with an unexpected burst of energy, the creature yanks me down, and I fall with anticipated grace into the water.

“Woo! Now revenge is mine mate! Prepare to suffer!”

The sea monster crawls over my body, no doubt wanting to savor the prime meat on me. But I can not let this happen! With my cunning reflexes, I sit up and grab the thing.

“Wedgie!”

“AYE! No fair!”

I have defeated yet another sea monster, and flee the scene gleefully, giving Davy-- er the creature the backwards peace sign.
