We're all going on a summer holiday!

Turkish Hazel

The picture on the left was taken while me and my boyfriend were in Turkey back in June. We were on a jeep safari and were taken to Antalya, high up in the mountains where it was sizzling hot to a Roman Amphitheatre. It was beautifully preserved, and the mouldings on the old columns were still so detailed after so long. I think I would enjoyed seeing it more if I didn't feel like I was going to fry to death.

We also visited some Lycian rock tombs while on the jeep safari. Apparently the place where Pegasus flew from. Unfortunately we couldn't go near them because they're so old and have to be protected but we got a good view of them. Also on the jeep safari we visited Salikent Gorge, the largest canyon in Europe, there was a river running at the bottom where the water was ice cold as I found out when one of the turkish tour guides soaked me with it.

Probably the most beautiful area we went to, near our accomodation was at Olu Deniz, the Blue Lagoon. This picture was taken while we were pedalling away on our pedalo. The water was so lovely, all cool and clear and perfect for swimming.

Actually the most fun time we had was at the mud baths, probably one of the best things I've ever done. Being covered in head to toe with mud, the turkish tour guides sticking a huge lump of mud down my bikini bottoms. Then after all that, having to wash it off in the ice cold river running next to the mud plains. An experience to say the least.
