Helga Sinclair was the oldest of 6 children. The oldest of six children (and the only girl), Miss Sinclair grew up fighting with her fist as well as her wits. The daughter of of a career officerU.S. Army Major Alexander Sinclair. Exstensive travel at an early age, as well as an exposure to the veriety of cultures and customs, (Frankfort 1884-87, Mannheim 1892-93, Camp Zama 1893-94, Yongsan 1894-97, Aberdeen Proving Ground, 1897-1901). Miss Sinclair exhibited exceptional athletic skill at the age of four, and was encouraged by her mother to pursue dance. Instead, with the influence of her father and brothers, Miss Sinclair began learning the combat arts. While stationed in Maryland at the age 17, she was introduced to Commander Rourke, and after relocating the Fort Dix, began tatics and firearms training under him at the behest of her father. Her skill impressed Rourke, as well as her potential as a convert agent and spy. She toured breifly with Rourke as his assistant, and then followed him in 1903 on an expedition to Egypt.

I don't think I can put it in better words than my sister site did...her childhood had probably caused her to be such a powerful woman. Being the only girl among 5 boys, it was most likely a difficult competition, grabbing her parent's attention. Believe it or not, Helga was once married to a man named Christopher Jenkins in 1907 and was presumed a widow in 1907. It's no wonder why she is such a cold-hearted person. Believe or not, though, Helga is still human. Underneath that powerful exterior is a person with emotions like all of us. Most of my feelings for her are displayed in my fanfic, "Admiration." Read it when you have the time. ;)
