Walking The Plank
This is an ancient Pirate tradition, invented by the 16th Century Corsairs. It involves getting a ninja or a landlubber and pushing him into the water in a highly amusing manner.
Planks, such as this one
have been around for decades. They are usually found on floors. Sometimes Pirates nail peoples heads to them, but usually they make them walk off the edge of a boat on one.
Walking the plank is great fun. Try practising it at home. All you need is a big plank and a river. First, put the plank over the edge of the river. Then walk up the plank and into the river. This is also a good way of seeing of you float or sink. If you sink, you should make a very good pirate, as you will be very careful about falling into the water.
Walking the plank is the better watched than performed. The problem is finding a performer. Ninjas are good, if you can get your hands on one before it flips out. But the best thing to plankwalk is a landlubber. They almost always float, and so can be fished back out again for another go.
PIRATE: ARRRR!!! Walk forward along that plank.
LANDLUBBER: Alright, if you say so
PIRATE: ARRRR!!!
LANDLUBBER: splash.
PIRATE: ARRRR!!!
(note: be sure to pillage the landlubber before throwing him into the water)
