"Friendships are different from all other relationships. Unlike acquaintanceship, friendship is based on love. Unlike lovers and married couples, it is free of jealousy. Unlike children and parents, it knows no criticism or resentment. Friendship has no status in law. Business partnerships are based on a contract. So is marriage. Parents are bound by law. But friendships are freely entered into, freely given, and freely exercised."
Friends
Cherokee: Rayna was my very first friend. We met through Boxerworld and have been friends since our first meeting.
Apache: Rayna is my brother's sister. She's cool.
Cherokee: Bubba Joe is my brother Apache's littermate. He reminds me so much of my brother.
Apache: Bubba Joe is my birth brother. We share the same parents (Boxers). We were luckily adopted by friends which means we will always be in touch.
Cherokee: Sady started off as just a neighbor. At first we had our differences. She didn't understand me and I just wanted to play. With time I've grown to respect her and she's learned to tolerate me. She'll be moving at the end of the month to Fresno, CA. I will miss her.
Apache: Sady was already a friend when I came into the picture. She thinks I'm crazy and annoying but I still hope one day she'll fall in love with me.
Cherokee: Inja is my daddy's friend's daughter. We've played a few times in her huge back yard. She's really nice to me. I also go up to play at her cabin during summer and winter. She's so lucky but she's nice enough to share.
Apache: I haven't met Inja yet. I haven't played in her yard or gone up to her cabin. I hope to soon though.
Cherokee: Ty also started off as a neighbor. She isn't too fond of me but tolerates me because our parents get along. We go on walks together every now and then. Her mom was nice enough to let me have my birthday party at her house. This picture was taken at my birthday party.
Apache: Ty doesn't like me at all. I don't know if she's afraid of me or just doesn't want me near her. I keep trying because I'm really persistent but she just runs away.
Cherokee: Zoe is cool although she's very timid. She was also a neighbor who turned into a friend. She loves to play frisbee. Sometimes I try to get it for her when her mommy throws it and she stops playing. I guess she doesn't like that very much. This picture was also taken at my birthday party. She bought me my own frisbee but I destroyed it. She'll be moving at the end of the month also. Zoe is moving to Alaska with her mommy.
Apache: Zoe is cool. I haven't had a chance to really play with her. The other day I was sitting on my Uncle's bed looking out the window and there she was. I wanted to say hi so bad I burst through the screen and ran straight to her. Mommy and Daddy didn't like that very much.
Cherokee: Naz no longer lives next door but our parents still keep in touch. We hung out a lot last summer because mommy would sit out front with us. His parents worked so mommy would take him out with me for fresh air. I think he liked me a little too much if you know what I mean. I miss him though.
Apache: I never met Naz but I did meet his mommy. She came back to visit. I like being the only boy around so I'm not heartbroken that he's not around. OK I'll be nice, I heard he's A GOOD DOG!!!!!!!
