It all started in 1992, we were high school sweethearts. Hollis had the red UNLV sweatsuit,
I had the purple Reeboks. He was the cool guy from Sacramento,
I was Chilli/Left Eye from TLC. He was a junior, I was a freshman.
We became really good friends at first.
The next school year, I remember meeting Hollis' mother Carolyn
(she had come up to the school for a visit).
I ran up and introduced myself, and she told him that he needed to
forget the friend stuff and get with me!
Hollis was a laid back, cool cat,
and didn't want to go there.
I thought Hollis was too new, all the girls liked him at the time,
so I didn't want to go there either
(although we both had a secret attraction
for one another!).
What set it off was the Homecoming Dance.
October 30, 1992. We went as friends...
and became inseparable.
Hollis said the magic words, "I want you to be my girl" on November 13, 1992.
We spent the remainder of the school year together, and many years to follow.
It was meant to be!

Over the years, I began to grow really close with his family.
We lived together off and on, and I became part of the family circuit over time.
The Santa Clara County Fair... 1993.
Although there were a few hurdles for us at first, we
pulled through everything and became stronger than ever.
I am forever grateful to his family for being there
for me when I needed a place to call home.

In 1995, we decided to start our family. Sure, we weren't married yet,
but so what?! Who needed tradition?!
We tried and tried, until we were blessed with a baby girl
on June 22, 1996. We named her Hollissa. Who knew we could love someone so much?
We finally got our own apartment when Hollissa was about 8 months old.
When she was about a year, we found out about another little surprise that was on its' way!
This leads us to our next little blessing from God, Jiana (we call her JiJi).
JiJi is something else. It was a little hard having two children only 20 months apart,
but we've been doing it for 4 years now, and we
couldn't be any more proud of our little gals!
They are our pride and joy.
Okay, so when did we have time to finally get married?
That happened on July 24, 1999. We had a pretty big wedding,
with lots of friends and family. It was stressful (took almost 5 years to plan),
but it was worth it.
So, now we've been together for almost 12 years,
and married for almost 4. On December 1, 2002, we welcomed
another baby girl to our family. Her name is Kaia Lily. (Click her name to see her pics!)
Do you think that stopped us?
We just brought our little BOY into the world!
His name is Kenyon David Anderson. He was born on April 2, 2004.
So, now we've got 3 girls and 1 little guy!
We are now settled and living comfortably in San Jose, CA.
Traveling and enjoying life, counting each and every
blessing as they come. We hope to move back to Sacramento
as soon as we possibly can.
