...the culmination of this era came for me when I met my husband...it was all good! Please make sure you watch Forever Wild on VH1...help keep the music alive...hair and all great metal from the '80's...boy do I have stories from this era...!!!
I met so many people during the late '80's and a bit into the '90's before I met the man of my dreams and continued building my family...crazy thing is that though it was fun and exciting, it was pretty much the norm at the time. The only challenge was getting to the bigger, more established bands...like the Scorpions...we had backstage passes for Great White when they toured with the Scorpions in '92. The Scorpions security was so tight, Great White couldn't even get security to let us back...nuts. The thing was, part of these bands gaining new fans (and keeping them) was constantly being accessible. I met Extreme 3 times, Slaughter 3x, Danger Danger 1x, Steelheart 2x, Don Dokken(and band at the time) 2x, Poison 3x, Bullet Boys 2x, Tesla 1x, Great White 1x, KIX 1x...it was really not much of an effort and you didn't have to dress like a sleaze or do anything nasty to meet these people. It kind of took the fun out of it...but at the same time, I probably wouldn't have met all of these people if it had been harder! It was a very fun time and I will be adding the more interesting stories...some of them are so generic but their are some sweet and funny moments mixed in, such as...Mikkey Dee playing bartender...
