Pip, is a young lad who lives in England. Both of his parents died when he was younger, so he is brought up by his mean old sister, Mrs. Joe Gargery. He is physicall and emotionally abused daily no matter what he does. One day he was out in the graveyard visiting his mom and pop's grave when someone jumped out behind a tombstone and grabbed him. His name is Magwitch.
Pip Later in life finally gets a break from all the hard laboring he was put in as a blacksmith to become what he always wanted to be which is a gentlemen. As he finds out later, he becomes arrogant, a snob, greedy, and ashamed of his own family. Some of this is shown when Joe comes over to visit Pip. He thinks to himself about how badly Joe is dressed. Then when Joe enters and starts talking he hides his head.
But after much realization, Pip returns to being a blacksmith once again.
As the story begins to go farther into great detail you will discover the events that lead up to a few shocking deaths and an odd ending. Personally I would have changed it a bit, so the readers aren't downright dumbfounded like I am on how it ended but then again that's only my opinion.
