There isn't any helping it. These are the shows you think of when you hear the name Jim Henson. It is all too easy to forget about Henson's illegitimate bastard children, the Fraggles.
I have no idea where the concept for this show came from. There is this old guy and his dog, Sprocket. The dog is always barking at this hole in the wall, and the old guy gets all pissed off at him.
The dog is smart though. Inside the hole is where the Fraggles live. Like, in the opening sequence, the camera zooms in on the hole, and it's all fast like you're going in the hole. Then there is music and Fraggles and dancing, and everybody is singing "dance your cares away!"
It gets better though. There are these little construction guys called Doozers, who build these tiny little cities. They are all singing like "work your cares away - dancing's for another day" because they are huge nerds and don't know how to have fun. The Fraggles come and eat their buildings, because that is their food.
Last, but not least, come the Gorgs. The Gorgs are really big, ogre-looking things. The Gorgs try to catch the Fraggles whenever they come out of the hole, because maybe that is what they eat? I don't know why, but they do.
The best part of the show is the adventures. The Fraggles have adventures all the time . One time, they went outside the hole into the people world and find a baseball. This other time, the meet Marjory, who is a talking trash-heap who can see the future. When they aren't having adventures, the Fraggles are singing and dancing, so they usually have a pretty good time.
I have no idea why they took Fraggle Rock off the air. All I know is, they better put it back on. This Power Rangers crap that they are raising kids on these days just doesn't cut it anymore.
