Bio: I am a transplanted Chicago writer, currently living in tropical South Beach, Florida. I have both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Degree in Communication from the University of Illinois; and hold a Masters Degree in Visual Communication from Harvard University. Since leaving my post as Public Information Officer at the Illinos Arts Council, Chicago, where I was responsible for media relations, supervising all publication design and content for the agency's numerous publications; I have been a freelance writer for the past 12 years. My recent articles have been published locally in the "Miami Sun Post" and in Chicago for "Outlines" and "Skyline" weekly newspapers. My poetry was chosen for inclusion in the National Poetry Society's Anthology: Best American Poets of 2003. I am currently seeking to publish my memoir entitled "In the Strangest of Places."
Interests: Writing, photography, reading, visual art, theater, music, dance, films, opera, Pilates, my little Maltese dog Perry Ellis, collecting Barbie dolls (I have more than 350)...and lying on South Beach in the sun, where there's always something to see!
