Welcome
You feel a powerful grasp
around you, and you can feel two extremely sharp fangs penetrate
your neck. The odd thing - it doesn't hurt. In fact, it feels
better than any sex you could ever dream of having.
Your vision becomes blurred, and you are released. The one who
bit you now bites their lip, and kisses you.
You can taste their blood enter your mouth; it's sweet. You swallow
their blood, and slowly everything fades into blackness.
You awaken to find yourself in a strange place, and the one who
bit you is sitting in front of you. You remember everything that
happened, and you are informed that you have been asleep for three
days now.
Your sire then begins to speak....
You have made a wise decision
my friend. Welcome to our world. Before you create an identity
for yourself, however, there are a few rules that a new born vampire
must know, and at all times follow.
First, the Masquerade. You
can not reveal your true nature to humans. Doing so will renounce
your claims of blood.
Second, your Domain is your own concern. All others owe you respect
while in it. No one may challenge you while they are in your hospitality.
Third, you can only Sire another with the permission of the Prince
of your city, or the elder of your clan, which ever holds the
power for your clan. If you do create another without permission,
both you and your Childer will be killed.
Fourth, those you create are your Childer. Until your Childer
are released, you shall command them in all things. They owe you
allegiance in all things and their sins are yours to endure.
Fifth, hospitality. Honor one another's domain. When you come
to a foreign city, you must present yourself to the one who rules
the city. Without the word of acceptance, you are nothing but
an outcast to those who live in that domain.
Finally, the most important rule you MUST know. You are forbidden
to destroy another vampire. The right of destruction belongs only
to the Prince or elder of the clan, and only they can call the
Blood Hunt.
The rest I will leave to
you to learn on your own. Make wise decisions and keep alert.
The last thing that I will tell you is, beware of the woods. Werewolves
lurk there, and even vampires are no match for these monstrous
beasts.
