Applying For: Student
Name: Chloe D'Auxesia
Name Meaning: 'Blooming Demeter'.
As you may or may not know, Demeter is basically the Greek Goddess of the Earth. So the name could also mean 'Blooming Earth'
Age: 11
Likes: Corn, corn is Chloe's favorite food of all time. While most children her age hate it, Chloe loves the yellow vegetable. Oh yeah and she thinks popcorn is pretty cool, as well. Light, Chloe is the easily scared type and, after years of time spent with her older cousins who are expert scary storytellers, Chloe is basically unable to sleep without a night light.
Dislikes: Darkness but after the explanation above that's a no-brainer. White-chocolate, while Chloe usually likes sweets she really, really hates the taste of white-chocolate. Not to mention it looks weird. Oh and Cats, 'cause they're annoying
Hobbies: Quidditch. Chloe is practically dying to be on her house-team and she HATES the rule that keeps her from doing so. Chloe has been wanting to start her Quidditch career since she was 3 years old and went to her first Quidditch match. On the more practical side, Chloe also loves gardening; which she seems to come to naturally. She is suspected by her parents to be an exceptionally good Herbology student.
Aspirations: Chloe basically wants to play Quidditch. Her parents don't wish to put-down Chloe's dream but they DO wish she'd try something a little more practical.

Appearance
Chloe has just a little over shoulder-length white-blonde hair, streaked all-the-way-through with strands of pure-gold, light tannish-brown, and a sand-y looking color. Usually, when she is gardening or practicing her Quidditch skills she puts the long, straight strands up into a high-ponytail. During most classes, she leaves the strange blonde hair down and lets it fall around her shoulders. For special occasions she curls it into wild majestic curls that fall delicately around her shoulders. And when she's feeling odd, Chloe braids her hair all the way through, till it's just a million little braids. Her eyes are green but not a normal kinda green. This is a spring green that seems almost pastel. There is a grass-green ring around her eyes and they seem to have little flakes of weird emerald swimming in them. Chloe's eyes have been described as 'strange', 'scary', and 'weird' by her peers but Chloe really, really likes her eyes. She's naturally tanned and stands in the tall-average for an eleven year old. Normally when she's in a bad-mood she walked with a slight slouch. While gardening, Chloe wears faded Muggle-blue jean flares, a semi-tight plain red t-shirt, a denim jacket, and Muggle brown dance boots with pointed toes. While this seems an odd outfit, its perfect for Chloe's style of gardening. She doesn't typically wear skirts and is planning to not like the short, gray school-girl-style one she's going to have to wear at Augurey but she supposes she'll get used to it. She doesn't wear a lot of jewelry, only when she's going to a dance or something and her clothing is usually tom-boyish.

Personality
Chloe's circumstances are certainly special ones. She's quite unsure of what she is; is she a Muggle or is she a Witch? Though her acceptance into Augurey probably should have cleared that up for her, she is still mostly unsure of what she is. Chloe is thirsting to prove that she's a good witch, despite being half-reared as a Muggle.
She is of a cool beauty; usually calm, possessing a good-taste for good things, and mostly disciplined. However, Chloe can also be downright stubborn and a complete brat. She's mostly been granted with whatever she wants throughout her childhood; believe you me, Chloe knows how to threaten. "Maybe I'll tell everybody that my mom's a witch," she'd sometimes say to her father, when he denied her of anything she wanted - from chocolate to a broomstick. To keep her quiet, the D'Auxesia's would buy her anything and, these days, Chloe expects that. She expects that the rules don't exactly apply to her; she can always find a way out of things if she just says the right thing. She is relieved that she has been accepted into Augurey; she is looking for calmness, for friends, for those who act and think more like her. She is mistrusting of some, for she has been taught to not-trust and not-get too involved in people. Chloe is that girl who always welcomed and befriended the new-kid, simply because the new-kid didn't know Chloe as her old-classmates did. New kids never pinned Chloe as a 'friend-freak' right away and were usually happy for her company. Sometimes their friendships would last several weeks but would usually end with said New Kid asking to spend the weekend with Chloe to her abrupt and rude refusal.
Chloe expects an instant-spot on her house Quidditch team. She honestly is a good flyer; ambitious and full of strategy in the air. She hopes for a position as a Seeker, since she's dead skinny.

History
Chloe D'Auxesia was born on June 11th (Gemini), as a half-blood witch. Her father, a Muggle named Edward D'Auxesia, worked as an Advertiser. Chloe's mother, Ellen Juventas-D'Auxesia, a pureblooded witch who'd been school at Augurey from the age of eleven to seventeen, was now a housewife. Only several weeks before Chloe's birth, Ellen announced to Edward that she was a Witch and that their was a possibility their son or daughter (the D'Auxesia's wanted their child's gender to be a surprise) could have magical blood. Edward, who hadn't had a clue about his wifes, um, heritage was, needless to say, shocked. This made the waters of Edward and Ellen's marriage quite rocky but before making any rash decisions, Edward promised himself to at least stick around till the birth of his child. He was gifted with a beautiful baby girl, Chloe D'Auxesia, who, on the moment of her birth, was recorded as a witch on the parchment that would guarantee her acceptance to Augurey.
Edward and Ellen made an agreement; Edward wouldn't leave the marriage and Ellen could teach Chloe of her heritage as a witch, just as long as Edward had the same oppertunity to teach his daughter about Muggle life. And so that was how Chloe was raised; neither as just-a-Muggle or as just-a-Witch. The D'Auxesia's lived in a normal, Muggle home but were always aware of what was going on in the Wizarding world. Edward even learned to appreciate Wizarding games and sports; especially Quiddtich, which he became quite the fan of. Chloe went to her first match at 3 and the love of Quidditch had been encouraged from the get-go (at least that was until Edward discovered just how far that love went).
Chloe was not entered into preschool and spent her days at home. She didn't have many friends and, at the time, wasn't worried about that fact. But upon entering grammar school, Chloe noticed the differences between she and her peers. These differences did not make her happy.
Around the age of 8, Chloe announced to her parents that she was going to be a Quidditch star one day. She demanded she be allowed to practice her skills, so that as soon as she was accepted into Augurey she'd be able to join the team. Though Ellen explained that first years being on the house team were usually unallowed, Chloe insisted that the rules would bend for her. She begged for a broom and was awarded with one, a Nimbus 2000 ("A slightly old brand but a trusted one for good quality flying," the shop owner informed the D'Auxesia's). She also swore she would practice. The D'Auxesia's lived among Muggles, so this wasn't exactly something Chloe really had the option of doing. After weeks of the girl moping around the house, her parents found a safe-field and Chloe was, finally, allowed to fly.
The announcement that she had been accepted into Augurey was a happy one in the D'Auxesia house. Chloe could finally have some friends, would finally be able to fly with the company of her peers. Chloe can't wait to get started.
