How Jay got into music:
Jay fell in love with music at a very young age. Thanks to his father Jeff Smith Sr., a musician with 30 years under his belt, he grew up listening to old classic rock n roll and funk. Jay received his first guitar at age 10, later getting his first bass guitar from his parents on his 18th birthday. Since then he has played the bass guitar for bands like: BETRAYED w/Jonesy, Brian Bowman, & Jeff Smith Jr. DAMN NATION... w/ Fred Lawson, Dave Byrd, Brad Rose, & Jeff Smith Jr. STAGGER LEE & THE HEATHENS w/ Tony Ruble & Bill Rector.
