Maiandra, middle child of Verdana P'lar and Plexis K'las, she is a Familiar.Her siblings K'lar include - True, Kendra, Sebastian, Falene, and the twins Destyn and Destynae. Born on her homeworld of M'yan, Mai left the planet of her birth on a mission for the Astral Alliance, not long before it was beseiged by a great plague that killed thousands of her people. Twice mated, Mai became "looney" when her first mate, Servantes de Leon betrayed her with another. Confined for her own protection in an asylum in the wilds of M'yan, she escaped there - the only Familiar to ever do so, and left her planet in search of Servantes, and vengence. Fortunately, fate stepped in and Mai ended up in RhyDin, and it is there that Taz, the mighty Firedemon found her. As the way of his kind, Taz "took" her, something which the Familiar couldn't understand, her confused mind lost. Alone and hunted, by those who would bring her back to the institution, Maiandra followed Taz back to his hidden cave and stayed there, as a 'guest'. As time went on, she came to care for the firedemon and his two children, as well as, the winged demon Lucas - Leah's friend, who was allowed to stay at the cave as an unwelcome guest, but like herself... not a member of the clan. Aiyah, in her great mercy, gave Maiandra a second chance at life and love, and helped the Familiar to 'let go' of Servantes, so that she might fully be able to give her heart to Taz, whom she had fallen in love with. The feelings between Mai and Taz grew, and eventually he took her as his lifemate, in the firedemon way. During the mating, they exchanged 'parts of themselves', he giving her his vow, which she accepted and returned in kind. Mai taking on some of Taz' strength, she is able to make tiny flames pop out of her flesh, and seems more sane in his presence. Taz, having to deal with the looney Familiar, now understands her a bit more as at times... his mind gets "fuzzy", like cotton balls are stuffed inside it. They have born together a baby daughter named Caylandra, and have another child on the way. Although Maiandra will never be the Familiar she once was, but the great love she has for her mate Taz, is what fills her heart, growing stronger every day, and keeps her truly alive.
