the 70s invasion Downloads section 38 was created Oct 19th 2022.......in the past we have documented many Asian rock bands ancient ones from Japan, Vietnam, and China and latter day bands like girl punk band from Beijing China - Hang on the Box as we once did a promo for Benten Records by reviewing their music long ago, also many yrs ago we came across info and photos of 70s Filipino female singer Sampaguita, and her band, at the time we were omly able to hear samples, but only till recently did we discover their music and so we bring it here for your enjoyment, with the main emphasis on downloads section 38 on this and other Filipino acts along with other 70s rock bands like Juan de La Cruz band who are still at it, ( see downloads 37 for the lp we like best by them called Maskara from '74 wherein the cover features them in facepaint like some of the more theatrical glam rock bands of the time....

Sampaguita translates as Arabian Jasmine flower, the singer's real name is Tessy Alfonso and is considered the queen of pinoy rock, this is a term for a certain genre of Filipino music, as the girls are referred to as Pinay, Sampaguita started out in a glam rock style more or less and developed into a hard rockin new wave outfit, we feature 3 downloads from Sampaguita the first 2 in the new wave rock style of Blondie, and the 3rd one a spiritual song called "Sa Diyos Lamang" wherein they chant,

The universe discloses itself to the man who is obedient to its ultimate values. The key fits the lock. If the ultimate fact of the universe is not mechanism but purpose, then the recognition of value will get the best response from reality. Somehow for men of faith, hope and love the universe not only confirms these values, it commands them.
In every book including the Bible, we find a divine and a.human element. Whatever the changing human metaphor, the divine is always apprehended under such symbols as light, life, spirit, it partakes of the true, the good, the beautiful. But always when it passes through our murky human atmosphere, the divine light is refracted, it is colored and discolored in the human spectrum of sin. There are chasms and dark depths of human sin and resulting misery wherever life is without God.

Even Aristotle believed in only 3 dimensions because " all things are three and three is everywhere," as the number of perfection. The goal of the intellect in the One; the goal of the will is good; the goal of the affections is the beautiful; thus goodness, truth. and beauty are the attributes of spirit and the spiritual world. They are at once three lines of proof and three pathways to the divine. God is fundamentally infinite having his center everywhere and his circumference nowhere. He "would have been hidden" without a world, which dimly and imperfectly reveals him as a shadow.
Scriptures says that God is a hidden God. There are three series of belief, reason, custom, inspiration. The mind must be open to proofs, must be confirmed by custom, and offer itself in humbleness to inspirations, which alone can produce a true and saving effect. Faith is different from proof; the one is human, the other a gift from God. The Faith that God Himself puts into the heart makes us not say I know, but I believe. . . . Faith indeed tells what the senses do not tell, but not the contrary of what they see. It is above them and not contrary to them. The last proceeding of reason is to recognize that there is an infinity of things which are beyond it. The heart has its reasons, which reason does not know. I say that the heart naturally loves the Universal Being, and also itself naturally, and it hardens itself against one or the other at its will.
It is the heart which experiences God and not the reason This then is faith: God felt by heart and not by the reason. We know truth, not only by the reason, but also by the heart. It is in this last way that we know first principles; as space, time, motion, number. And reason must trust these intuitions of the heart ❤️. Let man then contemplate the whole of nature in her full and grand majesty. It is an infinite sphere, the centre of which is everywhere, the circumference nowhere. Returning to himself, let man consider what he is. It is natural for the mind to believe, and for the will to love. Love or hate alters the aspect of justice. The most powerful cause of error is the war existing between the senses and reason. Reason and the senses deceive each other in turn. It is a deplorable thing to see all men deliberating on means alone, and not on the end.
The will is one of the chief factors in belief. Human life is only a perpetual illusion. Let each one examine his thoughts, and he will find them all occupied with the past and the future. The present is never our end. The past and present are our means; the future alone is our end. We know ourselves so little. The conduct of God, who disposes all things kindly, is to put religion into the mind by reason, and into the heart by grace. Men despise religion, they hate it, and fear it is true. Religion is not contrary to reason; we must make it lovable, because it promises the true good. This religion says that men are in darkness and estranged from God, that he Has hidden himself from their knowledge. He will only be perceived by those who seek Him with all their heart.
We shall die alone. We should seek the truth without hesitation. It concerns all our life to know whether the soul is mortal or immortal. If the gospel be true, if Jesus Christ be God, what difficulty is there ? Notwithstanding. we have an instinct which we cannot repress, which lifts us up. There is internal in man between reason and the passions. Having both, he cannot be without strife. Thus he is always divided against. and opposed to himself. Man must not think that he is on level either with the brutes or with the angels, nor must he be ignorant of both sides of his nature.
God says : " Man wanted to make himself his own centre, and independent of my help. He withdrew himself from my rule: by the desire of finding happiness in himself. I abandoned him to himself. It clearly seems that man by grace is made like unto God, and a partaker in his divinity, and that without grace he is like unto the brute beasts. If man is not made for God, why is he only happy in God ? If we do not know ourselves to be full of pride ambition, lust, weakness, misery, injustice, we are indeed blind. And if knowing this, we do not desire deliverance, what can we say of man ? The wisdom of God says, " I alone can make you understand who you are. God has willed himself to make Himself quite recognizable to those who seek Him with all their heart 💙 and to be hidden from those who flee him with all their heart.

Belt of Truth
One of the devil's favorite weapons is lies. Often, he distorts the truth so that it can be hard to distinguish fact from fallacy. But if we ask, God will give us discernment, the wisdom to know His truth above all the other noise.
Fitted Feet. The enemy wants to keep the people of God quiet. So, he tries to plant seeds of doubt in us about how well we speak, or if anyone will listen. But if we pray, God will provide the strength and boldness we need to give our testimonies and to praise Him publicly without worry. The devil's plan to derail our faith can include using situations and even other people. Our personal weaknesses can leave us open to temptations, discouragement or wrong behavior. But when we admit our need for His help, God will make us tougher to make it through those trials.The struggle with Satan often starts in our thought life. Any faulty ideas, anxieties or fears we may be holding onto can be amplified and used against us. But if we call on Him, God will renew us so that our eyes and minds will stay focused on Him throughout the day.

The biggest change should come to the judicial system wherein less offensive criminals should be sentenced to work intervals at fast food restaurants, like Carl's jr. and der Wienerschnitzel, and all bike thieves would have to work at Macdonalds on and off, and sleep in the parking lots outsides afterward, most will never commit these crimes again, and they get to maintain contact with the outside world, while they serve sentences in prison. Some judges used to sentence thieves with cardboard signs saying they are idiots who shoplifted from the business next to them, it's a similiar tactic in days of old where thieves were placed in wooden contraptions in the town square all day while the townspeople gave them looks, and laughed at them. The worst offenders in other countries would be relocated to work at various barbecue pits in the good old state of Texas, yeehaw , hee haw ! Most offenders will never again commit these crimes, and another good idea is for those raised in rural areas get relocated to work in cities while returning to prison in evening, and vice versa, this way they can maybe obtain better understanding of life different from themselves

Who you ask ? This guy is a real mess, he is low life scum, maybe in his 50s, he's the one Bobby Bittman and his brother Skippy from philly don't want to admit is a distant relative. So he started hitting people inside his store. He has large beer belly that hangs over his belt, and he routinely attacks and assaults shoppers If he doesn't like their appearance. Just go to a search engine and try for example reviews at Yelp. One story after another of this arch conservative who attacks anyone who dresses in counterculture attire. Homeless or look different from his lowlife upbringing. He looks bad and talks like some guy from thee worst part of jersey. He even wears and was selling Donald Trump underwear so everytime he takes a piss his little buddy Donald smiles at him. Mr. Torres, your day will come, you are being exposed.
