Sweet Dreams Inn Layout

You approach the two-storied wooden building, its design shining in the sunlight/twilight. Green dewy grass twinkles, the whole setting making you feel relaxed and safe. You come upto the place, settling your horse into the welcoming stables, and then make your way to the large wooden door with a sign above saying: Sweet Dreams Inn.Pushing open the large wooden door you step into a shiny, clean and beautifully decorated lobby; hearing a slight tinkling like the sound of bells for all of two seconds so quick that you are not sure if you even heard it. Polished floors, a lovely wooden front desk, and polished wooden tables set up to your left for people to chat or eat. Four doors line the right wall[each described below].

To your left is a peaceful diningroom, filled with tables and each having a vase with a single red rose set in the middle of it. In the diningroom against the left wall is the bar, made of wood and highly polished, lined with stools. Along the back of the bar is the shelves, holding what liquor and glasses are placed there.

At the very end of the bar on the same wall is a door that leads into the Kitchen. A single table rests in the center of this room surrounded by four chairs. A stove sets along the right wall in the corner and along the left wall is a large counter area with cabinets above them holding any kind of dish and silverware needed. Others hold liquor, food, and other things served in the inn.

The staircase is carpeted in a lush gray-blue carpet, winding up them to lead to highly decorated rooms.

Most important though is the four doors lining the left wall as you enter. These are the Library, Chantal's Study, the Ladies Lounge, and the Gentlemans Lounge. Each are highly decorated to suit the rooms.

The Library

A lovely rosewood door with a brass handle opens into this room. Plush forest green carpet covers the floor of this room. Shelves cover all walls except the one on your left which has a large stone fireplace and hearth with a brass grate in front of it. Flanking each side of the fireplace is two medium-sized windows with forest green drapes that are usually kept tied back by sienna[brown] ties. Furniture are placed strategically about the room. The sienna sofa and loveseat are in the center of the room facing the fireplace with a wooden stand at each end holding brass lamps with glass chimneys[covers] to be used for reading at night. Large, cushioned sienna chairs are placed at other areas of the room, each with a wooden stand holding brass lamps with glass chimneys. This room is kept open to the public.

The Study

This room was once open to the public, but is now Chantal's office. It can only be used by other inn staff. When nobody is in the room the rosewood door with its brass handle remains locked.

Done in light green and ivory this room has a charming tone to it. A single ivory rug with light green tassles is placed on the floor, showing gleaming wooden floor near the edges by the walls. On each side of the door is a small rosewood stand and in each corner of the room is a lovely wall sconce that provides light with a glass chimney and a small knob to either lower or raise the flame. A single large window is placed on the back wall, it's ivory drapes held back by light green ties. In the middle of the right wall is placed a large desk made of gleaming rosewood. Behind it is a large cushioned ivory armchair, soft and comfortable. Two more of these chairs also sit in front of the desk. On the right wall the desk is flanked on each side by shelves, the only clear area of the wall being directly behind the desk. These shelves are filled with books, tomes, ledgers, scrolls, and more.

In the middle of the left wall is a medium-sized fireplace and hearth with a brass grate. On each side of the fireplace are more shelves covered with books and ledgers. Of course there are 2 1/2 inches of space in between the shelves and fireplace to avoid fire.

Placed in the corner of each wall is a sconce with a glass chimney shaped like a rose that has a small brass knob to raise or lower the flame. The left wall is perfectly left clear for the purpose of being able to sit up a table for the ladies to eat dinner at if they wish it.

In the back right corner and front left are two wall sconces, with little brass knobs to raise or lower the flame, and coverings in the shape of a lions head. On each side of the door is a shining wood writing desk with a simple vase on each that holds a black rose and a red rose, the single desk drawer holding several writing supplies and pipes with tabac.
