Chosen Mind

My head is a prison
I'm locked in the cell
By the time they release me
I'll be burning in hell

My thoughts wander aimless
I have no control
When I try to stop them
They seep into my soul

My brain, it is rotting
Memorize seize my life
As I scream they are watching
Adding onto my strife

I'm just a teenager
Others, sure, feel my pain
But I'll write down and state it
For the joy of the vain

I will watch others prosper
And wish with my heart
That although they can't see me
They would feel death in part

I am dying within me
It's been consuming too long
You would think it'd grow weaker
But instead it grows strong

You can't see me or know me
Very few know my path
If you lash out upon me
I will strike out with wrath

In my death it has chosen
Its next victim is true
Soon you'll feel how I suffer
The next victim is you

Phone

The ringing echoes
Through the home
Within the hallways
All alone

Thoughts of anger
Paranoia and fear
The sounds entangle
Hold me dear

Disgust and murder
Annoyance next
Hatred follows
The ringing hex

A madman answers
Hears the voice
To kill the sender
Is his choice

Despise the ringing
Death to Destroy
But to the tele'
The ringing's toy

Following thickly
Lynching call
Unhappiness ended
The message falls.

Hatred

Hatred, like steam
It wells inside
Anger, it seems,
Will try to hide

Control will struggle
Psychotic lies
I fight within me
My soul, it dies

My peers are deadly
They're killing me
Gaining steadily
Wont let me be

I struggle for freedom
That doesnt heed
Darkness leads some
It's night I need

Someone, save me
Set me free
My head's a locked cell
Who the hell has the key?

It's too late now,
I've fallen under
The minions bow
I hear the thunder

I can't control
I took the knife
Its slicing slowly
This is life

~Lisa~

What's Caring?

I don't care anymore
Can't look you in the face
I thought my anger would soar
And yet my heart didnt race

You can make me feel pain
But the anger subsides
In my mind I'm insane
Yet those feelings I hide

I hold back my thoughts
Till they well up within
The one day I'm caught
They spill over the brim

Theres too much going on
In our lives at this time
I feel like a pawn
I'll be sold for a dime

I'm not special or real
I just fall out of place
Im the cloth you wont feel
While the others make lace

Whats become of my life
Is this future or past?
In my side is a knife
My death wont be the last...

Proficiencies

We sit here working
but why these must we do?
They don't count, they don't matter
And who cares? Not you.

We know we all suck
You had told us before
When our sixth grades came out
You were ready to gore

We had failed all but writing
And that just by a bit
I'm sure you gasped when you saw them
Perhaps had a fit

Since then you've been trying
This huge practice test
We, most of us, hate these
Why do you think they're best?

The jocks hardly try
and the punks, we're just bored
The preps write like the devil
While Christians pray to the Lord

We're not getting better
We're just repeating again
You think we're learning or caring
Dude, that's not where we've been

Well, we've finished part A
as we wait for the bell
Likely just like as always
But our results soon shall tell

Do we pass? Do we care?
Do we care how we do?
For these tests we have hatred
I just thought I'd tell you
~Lisa~

The Kiss of Death

The boy, with eyes so full of fear
Approaches her and draws her near
They're face to face and eye to eye
The girl, she wonders when she'll die
Her heart, it stopped seconds ago
She stares past him, towards her foe
The man in black, he starts to fade
She's falling towards a world of jade
She pulls the sword and draws it out
And from her chest, the blood does spout
The boy, he steals her final breath
And in a kiss pronounces death
~Lisa~

Waiting

You can wait for the world
But what if it ends?
We could all die tomorrow
Does a message that send?

When life gives you lemons
Should you throw them away?
Or wait till tomorrow
Then make lemonade

With a war and these weapons
Should today choices come?
Or shall we wait till tomorrow
With a new rising sun

Around here, we are nothing
They'd not attack this small town
Before we'd be thought of
The capital would go down

There is nothing to worry
Bombs will threaten us not
We go out to east Europe
That's where battles are fought

But what of war? What of battles?
Before the war people died
You say there's nothing to worry
Why do you try to hide?

We could die in a fire
a tornado or flood
And don't rule out suspicions
We could drown in our blood

You can wait till tomorrow
I guess it's easiest that way
But should we lose you tomorrow
What have others to say?

Will they remember or miss you?
Visit your grave every night?
To stay alive is a battle
Are you willing to fight?

Welcome to earth
For those of you that like happy poems…

Rainbows sprout like fairy seeds
In the land of laughter, no one greeds
We share and run around all day
We live to frolic, love to play
Not a cloud hinders the sun
The angels come to join our fun
The world revolves in happy joy
And each small child receives a toy
The girls rejoice in dolls galore
And to the boys comes not a bore
Chimes and bells and Barney songs
Start, and then we sing along
We run through fields of daffodils
Our empty stomachs chocolate fills
A little boy runs through the streets
Another happy man he meets
They both walk in to one small shop
The docile building hears a shot
Blood obscures the sparkling sun
Didn't you know? He had a gun.

Welcome to Earth

Framed

Don't cry, little one
Please, make not a sound
I promise I won't hurt you
I'll just show you around.

Over there is a circus
Would you like to see?
I could buy you some candy
It'd be just you and me

We can go back to my place
I can show you my home
I'll buy you a dolly
And a bed of your own

Come away from your mother
Just walk over here
I will take you more places
Than your parents can, dear.

So you've decided to join me?
We'll have oh so much fun
Oh man, here come those coppers
Baby, you hold the gun.

~Lisa~

Strike me down

Go ahead, strike me down
Use the knife in your hand
Pierce my throat and take my life
Just to show that you can

I'm sure you'll look so manly
So strong for destroying my world
You'll be everyone's hero
So give that blade a twirl

Watch me gasp and suffer
And flop around in pain
Laugh at my pitiful body
As the blood pours from my veins

Watch as I finally sputter
And give in to the ghost of the dead
But before they remove my body
Make sure you can steal my head

Mount it in your bedroom
Next to the elk and the deer
So that everyone around you can say
"We know we have him to fear"

I'll watch you in the twilight
And through the approaching dawn
My eyes will know every movement
My ears will hear every yawn

You can say you're the brave one for killing
And whisper to argue I can't
It's not that I agree with your choices
It's just that I'm too dead to rant

Don't worry, don't cry for me now
Simply go through your life as it is
But to others, please quote me dearly
Because soon this death will be his.
~Lisa~

My mind

There is a place
I know it well
I run to it
My simple Hell
I wonder still
Why I'm alone
Inside its walls
My very home
It's not of earth
It's of my mind
Visit it
And you'll soon find
You may be scared
It laughs and mocks
You think its dead
And then it talks
It's in my mind
And in yours too
I know mine well
It's after you
So run and hide
I'm coming fast
That breath you took
Will be your last
~Lisa~

Opaque

You dwell in lands full of light
You trust what your eyes can see
The reaches of darkness affect not your sight
In this world you can focus on me

The shield of the darkness is gaining
But you're still not aware of this shelf
The souls of death's minions are paining
They reach out with swords, knives, and stealth.

You think that youre safe in the sunlight
But that treasure will quickly be lost
Nothing will save you from our spite
Your death is our only cost.

~Lisa~

Life's Nutshell

Life is a circle
it never ends
Even with death, nothing is truly over.

Life takes many turns
some just slightly, like an intersection
but it often u-turns around.

Life is full of fright
you're scared about people
and things you can't control.

Life is a job
People work at it forever
and then finish after they retire.

I hate it when people wait for things
when they say, like,
"No, no, it can wait"
or, "I'll do it some other time".

If we all died tomorrow in a big nuclear explosion
There would be no second chances.

People always say that
But very few actually live that.

If you can't live for the moment
What are you really living for?
The future?
There might not BE a future.

"This is the first generation to grow up in a world
that has the power to destroy itself"
I love that quote.
So true, so true.

Before we start destroying each other,
and people start up their little "save the world" campaigns

Can we stop destroying ourselves?

~Lisa~

Night

Dark is the power of night
Falling through the fear and fright
The sinister urge which loves to kill
He lifts the spear and aims with skill

The innocent beast knows not the danger
NOr that its death is simply of anger
The spear is thrown in elegant flight
Till it consumes the beast in spite

The beast staggers and finally falls
the angel of death begins its calls
Crimson blood pours from the wound
The deadly music slowly tuned

With one more gasp and one last breath
The beast gives in to its own death
Strange is this, the deadly hex
Ponder now, could you be next?

~Lisa~

Far Away

It's been so long
since I've talked to you
without the screaming
in the foreground
and the crying
in the back

It's been so long
since I've heard your voice
without the edge
that says you're mad
all the time
at me

It's been so long
since I missed you
you're so far away
I see you but you're farther
the more I see you
you're farther away

It's been so long
since I've touched you
when you didn't scream
and touched me back
when all that was there
was us

It's been so long
it's been so long
why is it so long
it cant be that long
but time flies
when you're away

I can't see the clock
the minutes rush by
I wait for you
you never come
it's been so long
where have you been

I've been so far
I've lost myself
I can't go back
it's too far away
I'm falling further
it's been so long

I can't go back
it's so far away
the past is so far away
the future is coming
it's so near
the past
is so far away...

~Lisa~

Why Care?

Why does it matter
who does what and when
but upon meeting each other
that’s where we begin

I see not the point
of the watching and wait
If you desire to know me
take me on a date

Do you smoke?
Do you drink?
Are you alone in the night?

Could it be?
Is it true?
Is it simply in spite?

Does he bathe?
Does he strip?
These make me wonder more

Is he nice?
Is he sweet?
Or just another manwhore?
~Lisa~

Death is Only the Beginning

Don't deny me the right
Don't ever persuade me away
You know that by my sight
I'll beat you down.

You think you own me, kill me
You think my death is the end
Let my dead and tired body be
Because I'll come back.

If you think you'll get away
Just by running, just by the end of me
Death won't put my spirit at bay
You will be next.

You think that by the end of my life
I would have forgiven you
But through all the toil and strife
I hate you more.

You think I'll give up after I'm dead
Try me, let's just see if you're right
My soul's target is your own head
Just try to run.

~Lisa~

Life's Little Questions

How do you tell?
When you can never know?
When there's nothing to judge off
How do you know they're the one?
How can you judge them?
Against everyone else
When you never knew anyone
As good as them.
When everyone else
Seems to be in love
How can you be sure you're not?
When you’ve never had a broken heart
How can you be sure someone won't break it?
When everyone else is in turmoil
How can you be sure you own life
Isn't going head over heels in the same way?
How can you know that the end isn't near?
When you can only see the start?
How do you always look ahead?
When you're spinning in a circle
When everyone else sees you as a freak
How are you sure you want to be yourself?
How can you honestly know?
That there isn't more out there
Or that there is
Some people wait for everything
So why shouldn't you?
Death is not an option.
But death is always an option.
We could die at any point in time
If you're waiting for a special time to do something…
How can you even be sure that time will come?
~Lisa~

Predator

The silent forest wails in pain
The desperate branches cry in vain
And as the hunter takes its path
The sunlight quivers from its wrath
Hurriedly they hide their young
And the screams from trees are wrung
Silent eyes watch through the brush
Hinderless does nature rush
Darkness falls upon the land
And washes off its bloody hands

~Lisa~

A Poem by Mandy
This is written simply because it is one of the best i've ever heard

My Pool Full of Spite

Come drown in my pool full of spite
Where the water is black
As the darkest night
Swim in the rapids of hate
Dive in the thoughts malicious and deep

Come drown in my pool full of spite
Where mere annoyance becomes wicked and trite
Bathe in the anger
Wade in the fear
Caused by most of my peers

I can see it in your eyes
Don’t try to deny
You agree yet there’s a part of you
That worries for me
Maybe even loves me too
But it’s too late
It’s eaten me whole
I’ve drowned in my pool full of spite
