BATTLE OF WHITE PLAINS
THE ACTION AT MILLER
HILL
Four days after the Battle of White Plains, on November 1st, an engagement
occurred between British and American forces at
Miller Hill, north of Chatterton's Hill and west of Merritt Hill, and near
General George Washington's headquarters at the Miller house, which was
defended by the Americans and resulted in a British retreat. Some of the
American redoubts on this steep hill have been restored.
