Story:
Raised in Cottonwood, Arizona. The son of a pastor and a christian bookstore owner, James grew up surrounded by religion. Joining the choir at age 6, James felt every time he sang, God used his body to sing. At age 12, he competed in a christian softball tournament. In the championship game, he hit a grand slam and afterwords, told the local reporters than God had hit the run, not him. The years went by and still he felt as if God was using his body to do his bidding. At age 19, he learned that his parents weren't his biological parents. He was found in a burning building, just two months old. At first he didn't believe, but then he started having flashbacks.
Small ones, but the memories were slowly returning to him. When he was 24, he witnessed a break and entering. Calling the police, he dropped the reciever in mid sentence because the burlglar had set fire to the house. Inside, a woman lay dead, her husband next to her, both shot in the head. James panicked and was about to get out, but he heard the sound of a crying child. Quickly, he bounded up the stairs, dodging flaming debris and found the child, a little girl, in a bedroom. By the time he had convinced her to go with him, the blaze had reached the bedroom door. They waited for the rescue crews to arrive and the fire department set up a ladder. Just as the girl was about to climb out of the window, a support beam snapped and nearly crushed the child. Throwing himself in the way, James held the burning timber long enough for the girl to escape. Shortly after, he came to in the hospital with a cross-shaped burn that took up his entire back. The girl, Maria, now follows him wherever he goes. After the incident in the burning house, he moved to Port Huron, Michigan. There, he founded his own church and in the basement, found a dusty old sword. Upon gripping the sword, the voice of God filled his mind, telling him that he was now God's weapon against evil. Ever since, he has gone where there is overwhelming darkness to shed the light of God.
