Seether

Seether, originally known as Saron Gas, formed in 1999.  They are originally from South Africa.  "Fine Again" off the album Disclaimer was the hit single in 2002 that brought them the recognition they deserved.  Disclaimer II was the follow-up with a few new tracks including a duet with Amy Lee from Evanescence called "Broken".  Seether is due to release a new album in 2005.

Breaking Benjamin

Breaking Benjamin formed in 2000, when Aaron Fink and Mark James left Lifer (a band already signed to a label) and joined forces with Ben Burnley and Jeremy Hummel.  Their first single to get radio play was "Polyamorous" off of their first CD entitled Saturate which was officially released in 2002.  Their second disc, entitled We Are Not Alone,  followed quickly behind their year of touring.

Slipknot

What makes Slipknot stand out among the other shock rock metal music is their performance.  The nine members always perform in matching jump suits and pretty creepy looking masks.  Slipknot came together in Des Moines, Iowa in 1995.  Their very first album, entitled Mate.Feed.Kill.Repeat, gained them recognition from many labels.  In 1999, they released their first official album called simply Slipknot.  Ozzfest helped Slipknot create a fan base and their first album went platinum.  In 2001, they released their second album entitled Iowa which debuted at #3.

Disturbed

In 1997, a Chicago band finally found a worthy singer and joined together to create Disturbed.  In March 200 they released their first album entitled The Sickness.  They joined the Ozzfest line-up and quickly gained a strong fan base.  They continued touring that fall and decided to then work on their sophomore album.  Believe was released in the fall of 2002.  The band's major influences are Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Pantera, and Soundgarden.
