Fish 'n Bird Productions presents

A one-man performance intertwines parallel worlds: A Water Bird Talk*, an opera in one act, freely adapted from On the Harmfulness of Tobacco by Anton Chekhov, and Birds of America by J.J. Audubon; with music by Dominick Argento in which a gentleman lecturer, during a talk on water birds, sings a solo opera about his wife and the sorry lot of his henpecked life. Likewise, Chekhov finds himself musing on art, nature and life in a dramatic pastiche of his letters and stories in "Chekhov on the Wing" written by Vicki Hirsch and Dayle Vander Sande.
