Another Boy To Carry On The Family Name

He is here!! William Evan Robert Britt was born on Thursday May 20, 2004 at 10:46 p.m.
He weighs 6 pounds and 8oz and is 19 1/2 inches long. He is gorgeous for a new born.
He has his mommy’s dimples in his cheeks and a dimple in his chin and the corners of his little bow mouth are little dimples! He has his daddy’s cheeks, like a little chipmunk. He has a little button nose, and blue eyes.
Shannon did a wonderful part in creating this cute little guy. I think he may have Cody’s brown curly hair as it was wavy right after his birth. Cody came out to tell us about the baby and he took Ashley by the hand to go meet her little brother. I watched them as they walked down the long hall towards her Mother and the new baby. Cody placed his arm on Ashley’s shoulders and she was looking at her daddy listening to every word he was saying to her. She was excited and had the look of amazement as they turned the corner out of my sight. I had wished I had my camera ready to capture what I was seeing, but it is in my heart and I will share it with Ashley in this little part of my stories. She was holding the baby when we came in. The bonding was taking place and what a precious moment in time it was.
I couldn't wait to hold him in my arms. So tiny, but everything God did was perfect!. I told his gramma Jeanna. “we make such beautiful babies in our family.” She said "no doubt - no doubt at all!”
The next morning, we went to the hospital with Uncle Jack and Aunt Mary and little cousin Lily. Little "Will’s" grandpa Evan was there too, Will’s middle name of Evan is named after him. Shannon’s sister Jessica and Colter and Gramma Jeanna all came in, we were all here with this precious little guy, together as family as we had been when Ashley was born.
The baby’s name is William after his daddy William Cody, Evan, after Shannon’s daddy, Robert after his grandpa Britt, great grandpa Britt and his uncle Robert Michael Britt. I think I shall call him Wills, but Evan will be his name by everyone else, or as his daddy said, "Bill E. Bob Britt"....
